I mean, for real.think about it.do you really think even a couple thousand people will really affect a huge corporation?I highly doubt it.If you choose not to buy from certain companies,I understand,I'm picky about who I buy from when I can be.But muthafuck, quit whining about it.It blows me away that there is even a forum for this.Do your own thing & fuck everybody else.go huntin',grow a garden, raise animals, whatever.quit fucking whining.you're not gonna change the world.get over it.you'll do a lot more good to do what I just said than you will crying & holding signs.

So you're whining about it here... eh? Calm down, Limbaugh is on in a half hour... you'll be placated.

Not all, but some boycotts do force companies to change their ways.

    Yep-

I think the a big part of the intent of boycotts is to get the word out as I doubt many people are so delusional as to believe that a handful of protesters are capable to damaging a corporation by changing their spending habits. The wording in the OP suggests that is the premise of this discussion as well as a poorly veiled attack on the presence of a boycott forum here.

I don't see anything wrong with the concept of "boy-cotting" and "girl-cotting."

I'd also like to propose a boycott of people who are boycotting boycotts.

You seem to be suggesting that we do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about all of the evil sh-t that's going on around us. Boycott is simply one of many tools which can be used in the battle against evil. It may or may not be true that we can change the world for the better, but at least we've got to make some kind of an effort in that direction. If we follow your advice and do nothing, it just about guarantees that evil is going to triumph.

I don't like when people say a boycott has worked when it really had nothing to do with them.

That is funny because most times I boycott something I notice down the line such and such usually ends up having to do extra to stay afloat and that is just me saying fuck such and such. Not actually organizing because I would suck at that and I don't trust that people in general have the will power to actually disconnect from the coziness of life as we know it.
