The last album I actually bought was Slayer's 'God Hates us All', which after googling I found was released on September 11 2001 - I'd forgotten about that, was freakishly co-incidental at the time.

But shit, yeah, its been almost 10 years since I last paid for an Album, thankyou Pirate bay

At Christmas I bought a few as gifts and a couple that I wanted. If I listen to something I really like, I tend to still buy it even if I have already downloaded it.

I bought John Denver's Rocky Mountain High on vinyl two weeks ago at a local school festival's flea market. I got it for less than a dollar. does that count? If not I think the last BRAND NEW CD I bought wa Black Gives Way to Blue by Alice in Chains when it came out.

^ I've bought plenty of music via iTunes I deem worthy. I was responding to the title of the thread...

I buy everything. I own around 700 albums, my one wall is covered completely in CD racks.

I love owning the album, I like the tangible quality. The art work, lyrics, just the package how the band wanted you to see it. I will admit I download sometimes, but if I like it I ALWAYS buy it. I have met a few of my favourite musicians (Jimmy Gnecco, for example), and the guy can't barely pay his bills, and he is an amazing artist. The least I can do is buy his CD and help him out, he was a really sweet guy.

I've spent thousands on that collection, some day I am going to have a very lucky child. He or she will be receiving the lot, and my collection of guitars- which is standing at around ten :D
