Went to my FIRST SUBLIME concert!!!! (should have gone when Bradley was alive)


And first concert where I got stoned AT the concert!!! YEAH!

F*ing AMAZING!!!! And it was so nice in the great Seattle area to know that you can light a J at a concert and no get thrown out. Everyone around us smiled and later lite their own

So what Concerts have you got stoned at?

 

I just sold my sublime tix so I could let a co worker get some much needed time off.

What songs did they play?

I've smoked weed at hundreds of concerts, most recently at a Furthur show on the 4th.

 

But isn't Brad Nowell what made them Sublime?

I went to the concert. It was Dirty Heads and Sublime with Rome.
Sublime did a good job of covering their own songs. The only thing short was a few of the guitar leads. They made a lot of noise for three guys. Dirty Heads was probably the better band.

 

I was at that show, too. Rome was pretty bad ass. He's not Bradley, but that's because he's Rome. And I agree with Willie Wonka. Bradley did get all the credit, but the other two are the real musicians.

The Dirty Heads were definitely the more talented band, though.

And I smoke weed at ALL the shows I go to. The last one being CKY. I was smoking a joint with my friend while Jess Margera was signing our other friend's shirt.

 

Maaaan I hope you can get a chance to go. They did all the biggest hits and finished it off with Scarlett Begonias (my fave) and Santeria.

 

So I should have titled it "best concert you got high at" but I'm a sublime fan so I can't complain when its about them.

plenty of like smaller events with like djs or local bands too

Oh yah and the high wore off when I saw them last time but next week Tool will be added to that list.

i'm gonna go see Sublime with Rome too. good to know that the dirty heads are good too. i don't think it's a dis to Brad Nowell to say that Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson are good musicians and 2/3 of the original Sublime.

i'm excited to see them as it's the closest thing to Sublime i'll ever get to see. a cover band called Badfish was pretty damn good though. me and my brother are gonna be singing along with every word

edit: probably the BEST concert i've ever been too was 311 and i happened to smoke a joint there. i've also smoked at DMB, Rusted Root and maybe some others. i've smoked before most shows i've been to.

 

^ I've seen Badfish four times, they are pretty great for a tribute band.

 

I think I've smoked at every concert I've been to, but I don't feel like naming them off.

 

Have you seen Weezer before? I see they are next on your list. Not really my type of music but good show, can't remember if i got stoned there I went with my gf at the time who didn't smoke but met up with some other friends.
