everyone probably hates these threads but my friend, old roomate says he wants to introduce me to DMT when i go visit him. now he knows im pretty experienced and ive done alot of phsycadelics. but im just wondering what the trips like? thanks for your time
Ha ha. Truly indescribable. More than and different from anything else. In many but not all users, best preparation involves being ready to accept and surrender to literally, anything. Frequently, but not always, depending on dose level, with eyes closed, people experience things like: A strong body load that causes increase in heartbeat, blood pressure and heaviness or paralysis of limbs. A drug trance. A surfacing of any psychological material that is cooking underneath surface levels - this can be like getting smacked by a 2X4. Beautiful, fractal, geometric patterns, 2-D or 3-D. A sense of tremendous, overwhelming building or energy/vibration. A sound like a high-pitched tinnitus. A feeling of playfulness, comfort, returning home. A 3-D, immersive vision of fantastic clarity, color, beauty and sharpness. Playful, pushy and/or pressing entities. Incredible and excessive time dilation The convincing feeling/sensation that one's soul has completely launched or separated from one's body. Forgetting that one smoked DMT. Believing that one (even if one smoked DMT) is dead - that this could not be real, life or a drug trip therefore one must be dead. Okay, the short list above scratches the surface of the iceburg with a needle tip. Looking forward to hearing about your first experience. -Spicey Cat Meow!
Nice list (concise but broad); my favorite are: It will amaze you. You will be so amazed that your mind can experience something like what it will experience. Have fun.
In the middle of my third hit, I flew backwards into the couch I was on. Within seconds I was surrounded by a female entity with black and white striped tentacle like things. I completely forgot I smoked and just drifted off leaving my body behind. As I left my body, I got an immensely sickened feeling, as if my soul were departing from my body and I was indeed experiencing death. I also became a part of this incredibly complex 3-D geometric shape with a pattern of purple and white faces. The shape I was traveling in started folding, and my entire concept of reality bent with it. Sounds became visual and distorted as did my concept of time entirely. Reality, time, myself all lost meaning and disappeared. Toward the end (about 7 minutes into the trip) I forgot I had my hands over my eyes, and I could not tell whether or not my eyes were open or not. Once I opened my eyes, I had strong open eye visuals, but eventually went back to laying back and closing my eyes. Overall the trip was amazing, one of the best experiences of my life.
Wow MisterMudz, great trip report, especially for a first experience (if in fact it was your first) with DMT. How did you smoke/vaporize it?
Thanks. Thursday was my first DMT experience, and hopefully not my last. My friend had extracted it and brought it over to share. He had a light bulb vaporizer with the DMT already at the bottom. I held it over a candle until full of smoke, then left it over the flame as I inhaled. I don't remember the harshness or the taste of the smoke at all, but there was a mild burning of my lips. It was funny, I was exited to smoke some DMT until I had smoked a couple grams of weed, which resulted in nervousness. I am glad that I pushed myself to try it, as it was well worth it. In the end I would say the weed helped ease into the trip a little. My friend has done DMT about 5 times I think, and he said this time was his most pleasant trip, and it was the first time he did it after smoking a bunch.
i find that in general predosing with weed results in a bit less anxiety but a lot more memory loss . . . just speaking from my personal experiences . . . i frequently like to predose with weed, but then wait/meditate for a good long while before reaching for the DMT pipe . . .
