is one of the most beautiful albums i have ever heard. My dad bought it for me for my birthday the other day. Even if you have the original Reckoning, the second disc and new crisp sound is worth the buy. The Roses almost brought tears to my eyes. Its a MUST HAVE.

nah, sound guys can starve ;P

just ribbing you, since you are one...

I mean the entire support that made the Dead, from paying the front office help to, yeah, Ramrod (RIP), Cadace at the Lights, Howard and all the guys who worked sound drug gear from town to town, the guys that restrung and tuned so many guitars, replaced drum heads and found drum sticks seconds before DRUMS began.... (most have some "stock" to this day.)

    would you rip off Phish?

I bought the re-issue of American Beauty the other day.

Got some acoustic tracks from from when they were doing the split acoustic/electric sets.

Fantastic. and I'm not one to buy a re-issue normally.

Yeah, these reissues really are worth it, especially if you dont have the original. Its good to spend a few extra bucks on a copy that is waaay better in sound quality and has some interesting bonus tracks, in my opinion.

I love it. the only thing from the dead I've actually bought is Crimson White and Indigo, Skeletons and American Beauty but when I get a job or money I'm definitely buying the two big ol' box sets with my first paychecks and then every one after that I'll buy a live album or two starting with hundred year hall and maybe rockin the rhein or to terrapin :) all in time

hey, by the way, does anyone still have the original cds issues? and would care to upload an album or two or maybe a few songs? I'd love to hear how it originally sounded and see how cleaned up the reissues are
