I remember that dude from youtube. Last time I saw a video from him he looked liked he didn't have dreads at all. People were telling him he should cut all the time or kickstart with backcomb, I'm glad they've suddenly taken shape.

Well possibly he means perfect to the individual which doesn't necessarily mean perfect in its true sense. Kind of like finding a mate.

I don't have any pics but I do love a good feminine looking set, unkept and messy with wisps of hair framing the face, maybe a little feather, beads... sigh I hope to achieve this one day soon. So far it's high-maintenance, very frizzy and lots of dandruff. And no beads. Need to get on that.

 

i understand the question, it's just that i have a distaste for the mindset that people have when trying to quantify and control their 'drewad logs journey' by controlling what their dreads are going to look like by backcombing, root/tip rubbing, excessive wraps, etc. and trying to look like bob marley or whatever super cool person has dreads.


no offense to the OP its a perfectly OK question... i think sonny sandoval from POD had some awesome dreads even though they were maintained and probably waxed up...Mr Lif has some awesome dreads... so did the King and his son Damien. and Promoe and Mandy's husband...all great sets of locks.



you shouldn't want your dreads to look like somebody else's though...unless you want to look like Johnny Clean. then by all means go for it
