yah that album is my favorite psybient album of all time unfortunately they could not repeat it. I listened to it out in the woods on 2ce, Holy bejusus was I tripping. I can't even find the best song (the last one) on youtube anywhere though. It's great to have the whole album it flows as one experience so seamlessly. It's FILTHY! Never on any other album have I heard such equal use of tension and release, and sometimes they do it simultaneously, mind blowing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljRxf46Xfn8"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljRxf46Xfn8 Oh yah while speaking of pioneers of ambient music lets not forget about Pink Floyd even though they weren't strictly ambient they certainly had some songs that were and ahead of most. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9qlr4a4wjM"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9qlr4a4wjM
you guys need to learn how to torrent. it's easy and you can find stuff like this very easily. Just download a torrent program that can open torrent files like that one ^ (Shulman - In Search Of A Meaningful Moment). A good torrent program is Vuze (http://hwcdn01.vuze.com/files/Vuze_Installer.exe) for example. A good website to get torrent files is www.torrentz.com bing bang boom let the music flowwwww
Nah I had already searched for that, at isohunt, btjunkie, thepiratebay. When I tried to get it it wouldn't actually download, mustn't be the best seeders. Hence I was asking someone else to upload it to a torrent site or rapidshare for me or to help host it Seems to be working a little better today (11kbp/s), FLAC files are so huge :S
Got it: http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/90884405/in+search+of+a+meaningful+moment?tab=summary 4.5gig of psybient but just got rid of everything but that album Although I did get some entheogenic and hallucinogen last night Still on my list to get: Abakus/a new way to look at the day Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interlopers (<- 2 recomendations in thread) Brian Eno and Harold Budd (enchanted doll song) Dan Gibson and the album Secrets of the Jungle David Sylvian Upon This Earth
Natural Snow Buildings A french duo that makes the most blissful ambient / drone. It's seriously incredibly, whenever I listen to it I can't help but imagine the center of a burning star. Check out the album Shadow Kingdom. It's not 100% drone/ambient etiher, there's some folky acoustic guitar playing. It's a triple LP so there's a lot of material. I'm only barely familiar with half of it.
I went and saw this guy Robert Rich recently on a whim (I knew nothing about him except he was playing at a college near by and did ambient music.) It was weird seeing the ambient stuff created live, and he had a screen up with cool graphics. I got his "Atlas Dei" dvd (robert rich does the audio and daniel colvin does the video.) Very neat....
Here's a (low quality) trailer to "Atlas Dei" (other Robert Rich stuff too). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMxl-Ax74_M"]YouTube- Atlas Dei Trailer #1 The DVD has uncompressed 5 channel surround sound for people who have equipment that can take advantage of that.

Very stellar music. The second side is frightening to most people, though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REkbY-eEuus
