Hi all. I'm new to Hip Forums (thought not knew to discussion forums in general) and I guess you're supposed to introduce yourself so here goes: I'm a wife, Mom of 4 teenage girls and animal lover with the funny farm to prove it in Southern Maryland USA. I'm a tarot card and tea leaf reader at a small local metaphysical shop by day and bartender by night. I raise ducks for their eggs(and because I just love ducks) I am not religious as much as I am spiritual and as a matter of fact I don't do diety at all. I am disillusioned by and out of faith in our gov't and ABHOR the current administration. I'm open minded and like to think outside the box. I tend to ramble and get long winded. (can ya tell?) I like to see the good in people, I TRY not to judge and am nice to everyone unless you hurt me or mine. I heartily embrace and teach my children to embrace diversity. And I am not so stubbornly opinionated that I won't at least listen to the other side. Is that good enough? So I read the "advice to new people" and am kind of afraid to say anymore than that at this point. I found Hip Forums by accident and thought it might be a place for me to chat, discuss and debate with like minded people. Thanks for having me.
Nope, Note To MysticalMom.......Must Try Harder.....:coffee: Cheers Glen. P.S.:-- Welcome Anyway.......
GLEN, 5,000 posts in and nothing you have said has qualified as 'good enough' yet, so quit your judging that was a wonderful introduction, you sound very interesting- welcome to the boards!!
Thanks for the welcomes. Glen... I'll try to do better next time. Just remember you asked for it and TIB... that picture creeps me out. lol I just got home from job #1. And since I'm off job #2 tonight ( yay!) I'm gonna get my attitude adjustment on and sit and relax and scan the forums. I must say... these are the most diverse forums I've come across in a long time.
That's me on vacation, what can I say!? And yeah, they are very good. I am not a hippy, but it's the huge array of options that I was drawn to as well
Hi Mom, it's nice to see someone else from the area. It feels like the East coast is under represented here but it's nice to see that there are people anywhere that are close to my age that haven't been so embittered by life that they can't still celebrate living. Peace and good thoughts. Omar
Hi MysticalMom Loved your intro.. Im a newby too and also found the forum by accident.. I do love to have openminded natters about spirituality and philosophy...spend alot of time with my head buried in books..very often Eckhart Tolle keeps me in touch with who I really am..you know like..before thought there is conciousness and awareness.. so it's easy to dispute 'I think therefore I am' and prefer 'I am therefore I think'. I've been trying to meditate with a mantra more recently too with good results actually.. Feel like Im rambling a bit now too..good to have you around anyway. Peace and love, Ben Fuzz
Welcome, Mystical Mom. I'm a newbie, too, but I'd like to welcome you. This is about as diverse a forum as I've ever found, so you should have no trouble connecting with many people to share your thoughts with. Your two jobs are kind of polar opposites, aren't they? Reminds me of when I was engineering during the day, and playing music on the weekends! Hope your experiences here are good!
