Is it me, or is the entire smoking universe overly obsessed with strain? Kush, Purps, Ice, Bubblegum, Blueberry, blah, blah, blah. It becomes a sort of bragging point. Can't we all just get stoned? I got an 1/8 a week ago, and I have no idea what strain. I DO know, however, that it gets me nicely tweaked and that's all I care about. Maybe it's just me...
I love different strains grown by legit growers who know their shit and love what they do. I don't care for different strains sold by dealers who are looking for a selling point for more profit, but really don't know much about what they are talking about. You need to find people who really know their shit, or do some research and grow some yourself. I think then your attitude towards the beauty of different strains will improve.
I don't care about names at all. As long as it looks/smells nice and gets me ripped, I'll take it. I just kinda ignore it if they tell me it's some name brand, I know it's probably not.. but it doesn't matter to me.
names mean little to nothing when it comes to your average every day dealer.. because more often than not.. its not what is labeled. but if i was in a position where i know the dealer.. and know that he knows his shit.. im all about the names.. why? because each strain has different highs.. but for the most part.. its all BS and a way to sell their weed..
I know two strains...the one that gets me high, and that other one. It seems to me that it is mostly the youngers that are into all that Sour Blue Diesel Berry Catpiss crap. Heads my age smoke the shit too fast to give it any fancy names....but that could be just the crowd I hang with.
