I wouldn't worry about that If everything works out I'm going to make a grand tour and see all my brothers and sisters . Thanks for the invite and the good thoughts. I've been sort of out of it for a month or so so forgive the delay in response. Our Family lives.

Anyone recall the morning Gypsy Dave caught the young black kid that we had given a place to crash only to find him headed out the door of the Blue House with two guitars having already taken the amps and stashed them in the Panhandle. He started making noise about being Panther connected and Steven put him on the extension and called the Officer of the Day at Panther Headquarters on Filmore and explained the situation. His only responce was to ask which hand he took them with. you never saw a quicker color change from black to ashy gray!
Then there was the night (about the same time SunShine was having her trouble) that I walked into London Fog to find a gang of young blacks claiming to be Panthers with a young white kid backed to the wall being threatened and I picked up the pay phone and as I dropped in a dime I looked at the oldest black kid and asked who was on duty at BP headquarters as I dialed. I don't recall ever seeing a faster vanishing act!

It was a firey time back then, civil rights it full force, whites, blacks trying to mesh in a world of hate and poverty. The connection between the two mighty powers of the WPs and the BPs were bonded as we were in the same position of being hated. We also strived for change for ALL ppl.

It was a joint ;) effort to clean up the hood and keep it safe for us all.

Zev, I am praying for you my brother. I wish I could do more. Right now I am going through a very dark time. My sister has pancreatic cancer and it is progressing and she is starting to fall. This is very difficult for me as we are very close. I hope you and ev 1 will forgive my absents and lack of 'sparkle' but the sparkle is dwindleing rapidly as my energy level depletes. My heart is breaking.

    Blessings to all

I hope you're making progress in getting the farm together. And then I hope you dig a storm cellar. I know that farming is at the mercy of the weather. I'm getting help from many quarters so your good thoughts and prayers will complement them in insuring my recovery. All the best and in the fall, when I get my taste buds back, send me some corn or fruit.LOL
    Love ya` my sister

One lil correction Sis, the bonds with the BP were formed long before the WP were ever in the hood and right up to the last it was GE that was the power. After things at GE were pretty much over, blue house gone etc etc, Steve and I were asked to show up at a meeting of HAND (Haight Ashbury Development Corp.) to head off a WP take over bid. We showed with a brother or two (really no more than one or two) and sat quietly waiting for the nominations and Ron ang gang left the meeting early for some strange reason. lol

    Hey y'all,
Well I (we've) finally just returned from Mexico (7 weeks late!), and , man, am I glad to be back to Oregon. The Baja desert is great but it starts getting real hot about now, and returning to the lush Oregon woods is quite a relief.
Although I have been monitoring the forum regularly, I have not been contributing because things began to go sideways down there and I felt it would have been trite to whine when others of you (Zev, Cakes, etc) have been dealing with serious concerns: being the consumate astrologer that I am, I have come to the conclusion that the moon is in asparagus with the sphincter rising which can cause all sorts of trouble.
We had to close our shop in La Paz; the economy, and then we came to find out that our "trusted" manager had been living well on our $. It ain't over yet, and the Mexican "legal" system is an absolute joke. Anyway, We're home and now I have the daunting task of trying to cut back this overgrown jungle of a property that we have in order to have it presentable/usable for camping for the Oregon Country Fair. Yea, we're still gonna' do it, and although it's not an organized reunion, I hope to see some of your faces; if not this year, then maybe next. It's so important; our numbers are diminishing. On that note I do have some very sad news to share: Buddy Wah have left us and gone over. He was living on borrowed time; they said he was supposed to die over 5 years ago (hep) but he kept on. He would be one of the first friends I would see when I returned from Baja every year; I was 3 days late. Chris (Wick-Wah), I guess your the head of the Wahs now; carry on with pride. It's important to keep telling the stories of our brothers & sisters so that we can mean something to someone. Remember; all that you can really leave is your story.
I love & miss you all.

Thanks Mouseman...I recieved the Call last tuesday that Buddy had passed.

Not sure how many here knew him but as mouse says one less brother now here in this plane. The Wahs are now very few. Buddy Wah (pronounced Boud Wah) was the banjo man for Hit and Run Jam Band. He also stood street watch when he was in SF. And also was a Bus Runner for a while (the Bus rested at Skyline for a time!!

Boud Wah leaves 3 children that I know of Of which Cody (my nephew) is the oldest. Cody was born in one of the G Earth houses on Cole Street as I recall on Oct 1 1974. Red Head Candy was his mother and Boud Wah was Codys Pops.

Boud Wah and I had not seen each other since Goat Lisa's (Lisa Kent) weeding years ago. We made some ammends at that wedding as there was stress relating to life and things between us. Like many of us he had the Hep C (of which some of us are B and C antagin carriers) Boud Wahs was active tho. Boud Wah did streach his time as they had told him it was over many YEARS ago.

A Washington D.C. (Bethesda) Teen that is where we meet at age 14. we were on the road by 17. He is also survived by one full blood sister back there and 3 1/2 brothers from his Pops second marrage. Boud Wah also has STP Roots as the early runs to Boulder etc were where some inital hook up happened.

Boud Wah and Hit and Run Jam Band also made it over to EUROPE where they lived above a Tavern in Switzerland where they would play at night for beer and grub!!! Boud Wah also tried to do his best Jerry Garcia impression by cutting off part of middle finger. An Accident of course, This did not hurt his picking but I remember when he thought that he would not play again. Well after Rice Creek he played again!!

Buddy was a BUS PERSON also. Even tho he lived in the attached boxes (Houses lol) He may have only lived in his bus for a couple of years on and off. And the bus spent a bit of time On Skyline!! Empty mostly

BUT We did live and commendeer the UPPER SOUTH UMPQUA Forest Camp above AV where there was Buddys Bus with Candy (my sister and Cody in his bus, Greg Wah and Serine (Beenie) his daughter in Gregs Bus, and pregnant Sheila, myself and our first son Ryland in my bus.

My Bus was the last to arrive that year as we were not going to be in Orygun that year. We let Butler and Nancy stay in the bus in Springfield. But alas a condition attacked me and I had to get Pregnant Sheila my son Ryland off the Island and we needed help and a place to Live.

Boud Wah and Greg Wah made space at the spot and told me to not worry just send Sheila and Ryland over. They would take care of the rest.

They did and it was a Wah lifesaver for me and my family! They came through in the clutch as any good family would!!

Buddy picked up my bus from Butler and Nancy and Drove it down to the camp (we called the place the SPOT for any who may remember) when I contracted Toxoplasmosis in Hawaii and Sheila had to move back into our buss with Ryland while she was pregnant with Caleb as I had to stay in the Hospital system in Hawaii for 3 months. SHEILA was unable to handel the moveing of the bus from Springfield to the Spot at the time. She was not a Bus wrangler yet!! Greg Wah, Boud Wah, and Tub Wah had discovered the spot up river. That was the place to live for the summer that year. As word came through that I needed to return and Sheila and Ryland would be arriving 30-90 days before me due to medical reasons Boud Wah made sure that our bus would get moved to the spot as that was where Sheila would get set up with the WAH family until I could arrive. I thank Boud Wah for taking care of the Bus move for Sheila/ryland in my absence.

Boud Wah may you be finally in PEACE and out of PAIN. The continuation of the flo now has you picking SenSemillia while Greg Wah SINGS the lyrics and Tubb Wah rolls the spliffs!!! I am sure Gregwah may be strumming a tad too!!! Wahs are now hanging togather in the multiple plains again and Sheila and I miss the singing round the busses with the kids!! I am sure JD will sing songs about it and Boogie Joe will be Boogie Joe!! LOL
Greg WAH. Tub Wah and Boud WAH now time to get it togather again as you are hanging in the place we are all heading!!!!again and STOP ARUGUING lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Peace and Love

    Hey there everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. OK it seems that the Oregon Country Fair is less than two weeks away and although I'm not expecting any rush to make the trip this year from a lot of folks, I guess I'd better give out a little information to those who might be contemplating making the trip. Heather & I live virtually next to the Fair property which is in Veneta OR (outside Eugene). If you're going to the Fair you have to get tickets ahead of time; no ticket sales on site. Go on line to Oregon Country Fair; all the info is there. Our place is not listed as one of the camp grounds available; We're running under the radar (as usual). So I'm not posting directions here; call me if you're figuring on showing up: DO LEAVE A MESSAGE if you don't get me or Heather! and leave a call back Ph # so we can guide you in; it's easy. This boogie happens every year and is a great opportunity (excuse) for us to reconnect, but time is marching on so.... I hope to see some of you.

Peace , Love & Good Vibes,
    Mouseman

    Hey!

Yeah, just thought that I'd say Hey!

    Hey!

I hadn't been around for a month and a half. Too sick, too busy working on work stuff, too something.

    Hey!

Hope everyone's alright. God Goddess bless you Cakes. Last I heard things were rough. New Smiles to You.

Heard (e-mail) from Devora, (Taurus Debbie). She say's that she's buried in rubber bands. (Tie-Dye) for the Origin Country Fair. She'll be at her usual fair booth. 78 years and counting.

Ranger – She says that she hasn't heard from you and Rita yet, about going to the fair or not. Hook up, Dude. AND take Adrian there to meet Demian too!

    Hey!

    Chuck! Mouseman!
and Chris what's up my man?

    Love All, Scorpio Kenny

Goddamn, this is all saddening. But then again, every day we move away from 1970 (or earlier or forward) is another day forward into the invevitable. For the cancer prone I have one word...Graviola. For those with fatigue due to heart/circulation probs...lycopene. But that is too simple really. I guess what I am trying to say is that I feel great every day because of the regiman I maintain. I refuse to give in to let the demons of ageing take the upper hand. I know some day they will invade my kingdom and overpower me but in the meantime I eat, drink, exercise, and meditate to ward them off. My signifignant other is 22 (not bragging) and is completely in tune with my headspace and has trouble keeping up with my day to day vitality.

I guess what I am saying here brothers and sisters is that I took hold of my own health situation and having very little or no money, I figured it was up to me to learn about what to do to maintain good health. And I have learned a LOT! Prevention is the best cure of course, but then again, cancer of the eye? Cancer of the brain? WooHoo, no way to ward that off. Blessings, Ken and Wev. My prayers are about you.

If I needed chemo, I'd be fucked.

    Love you all so much.
