So I searched around on this site and couldn't find anything on it. Has anyone here tried it? I found Shulgin's notes on it interesting, but I'd like to hear some of yall's experiences if you have tried it before. http://www.erowid.org/library/books_online/pihkal/pihkal023.shtml
tried it at 50mg and 75mg i believe. little to no effect after the ridiculously intense comeup. You plateau into 'strange sobriety', even more empty than 2c-c. Very strange stuff, very rushy/ampy.
Good to know, but I see you haven't tried 150mg. It's just as expensive as many better 2cx's but the 150mg note in Pihkal was what sparked my interest. Wish I could just get 150mg hah.
i've never taken it, but i've taken some monster nasal doses of 2c-c, and 2c-d sounds like an amphy, watered down version of 2c-c IMO
I've never tried it but I have tried 2C-C and I can say that it gets really really trippy at decent doses (20-30mg) if you use it rectally. Not subtle at all. All 2C's I've heard of are about twice as active rectally and it's the only way to make 2C-C and 2C-D worth it because then it's only a little bit more expensive than say 2C-E or 2C-I on a per-dose basis. Also it reduces body load and all that business. And rectal dosing wasn't really that hard or unpleasant the few times I've done it. Just put the powder in a gelcap, put the cap in your mouth to lube it up, put a condom on your finger and stick it in there up to the 2nd knuckle.
I have tried 2c-d a couple times. I actually really enjoyed it both times. It really lent itself to conscious contemplation and conversation. It was great for having deep conversation, and really colored the act of doing so. I say deep conversation, but I really mean analytical thinking brought on by the act of conversation. I find that having a sounding board always helps both parties to develop their own ideas. So, it wasn't the immersion in the conversation itself that was enhanced, as with MDMA. Rather, it was the personal thought patterns. I say conscious contemplation because it never pushed me towards any sort of subconscious or universal (collective) depth - egolessness, as many tryptamines will do for me. Rather, it simply lent itself to what felt like magnified analysis, vision of, and response to whatever the topic of thought or discussion may have been. It left my feet planted firmly on the ground, so to speak. It felt very intellectual. This may be due to the stimulation other people have mentioned in combination with a bit of psychedelic depth. I particularly remember watching the sunset during this experience while having a good conversation and just feeling very fulfilled by it. I say all this simply to remark that I found this molecule to be, at least, interesting. It wasn't anything extremely special or earth-shattering at the dose we tried, but it certainly was not a worthless experience. I don't believe that either dose was over 70mg. I'm a little fuzzy on what the actual doses were as this was four years ago, and the doses were weighed by a well-trusted friend and fellow traveler from his own supply. I have also experimeneted with 2c-b, 2c-e, 2c-c, and 2c-t-2, and I felt that 2c-d had its own clarity and lucidity in comparison to the rest. It was quite unique, but lacked a the kind of depth for which I usually use psychedelics. It felt very "on the surface of things", if that makes any sense. edit: ...Just read the phikal entry! I promise I hadn't read that before giving this description. It certainly coincides with my own experience, though.
yea...2c-c is very recreational, and i find it to be strangely profound at times. i prefer 2c-b by a long shot these days though.
