everyone here remembers the misadventure of brave georgie w bush who barely dodged two 10.5-caliber shells (probably loaded with the vicious payload of a biological warhead) during a press conference in Baghdad. so much for the purple heart . now it's the turn for lady Gaga to bite the dust because of a monstrous pair of black Berlusconi's she was proudly sporting for the benefit of cameras while parading through Heathrow airport. next victims ?
I don't wish ill on her, but if she had broken her ankle and/or wrist falling from these aweful things then the shoe would be HISTORY
BTW the extra inches make her arms look unnaturally short. please post more stories about damage, troubles and other shoe induced woes , and if you can PICS. that will be a riot
ok this is just does not match perfect with the topic but i think it has some affinity... http://www.newser.com/story/95246/barefoot-bandit-was-shoeless-when-busted.html
Happily, he is a true barefooter to the end. Even arriving in custody with his apparently dirty barefeet chained together. I suppose he answered no to the poll question do you wash your feet before going to bed....lol.
one moment, let get me this straight: since when cops use "footcuffs" ? was that a special security measure for dangerous feet ?
Toning Shoes http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=129027089 why going barefoot for free when you can not only get just a tiny fraction of the inherent benefits , but squandering some SERIOUS BANK over shoes ?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jh21PnBgILU"]YouTube- Tony Blair pelted with eggs and shoes in Dublin. time is just right for a shoe- and egg-bombing over tony blair http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/39003719/ns/world_news-europe/
So it was probably easy to spot these people as they made their escape since they'd be barefoot. Imagine the poor innocent barefooter or barefoot runner anywhere near the area though....lol. I suppose you could mount the filthy sole defense to prove you've been shoeless for more than a half hour.

By Times Colonist (Victoria) June 19, 2008 Another detached human foot, this one encased in a black, size 10 man's Adidas sneaker, was found yesterday by a woman walking on a beach in Campbell River. This sixth foot, the fifth right, was found on Tyee Spit, adjacent to the Thunderbird RV Park and Campground. The find deepens the mystery of where the six feet found since August 2007 have come from and why so many have come ashore. The fifth foot, a left, was discovered Monday at an island in the mouth of the Fraser River. B.C. RCMP Const. Annie Linteau said that the latest foot and shoe have been sent to the B.C. Coroners Service in Vancouver for analysis. A link between the six feet "is certainly something we have to explore, it is a possibility," said Linteau. Police are checking missing persons files and examining the shoes to determine their origin. The public interest has been "very big," she said. "There are certainly a lot of theories and speculation. We're not going to speculate. We deal with evidence and that's what we're relying on." Sandra Malone, manager of the Thunderbird campground, was in her office when a woman came in and asked her to call police "because she found a foot in a running shoe." The woman was clearly disturbed by the discovery on the nearby beach, said Malone, who immediately called the Campbell River RCMP. While waiting for RCMP to arrive, the woman accompanied Malone on foot to examine the find. "You could see two leg bones sticking up from the foot about three or four inches," said Malone. "There was no tissue or muscle or anything." She felt "sick inside to think that that's somebody's foot and where is that person?" Malone said. The bones seemed to be cut clean across, Malone said, suggesting an instrument had been used to cut the bone. "You could see it was a cut," Malone said. Guests at the campground were curious as to what was going on at the beach, Malone said. "There was a lot of shock," she said. Malone suspects this foot belonged to someone who was the victim of foul play. She spent most of the day answering a torrent of media calls and participating in media interviews, "so many I've lost count. I'm still trying to have lunch [at 3 p.m.]." A retired coroner and military diver believes there's no foul play involved in the feet. "I just think the more people you have missing, the more chances you have of finding naturally occurring denegration of the body," said Ian Buckingham of Victoria, a retired physician and coroner. He has also served as a military diver with the Canadian, U.S. and Royal navies. More feet are being discussed because more people are walking the beaches, Buckingham said. "I just think there are lots more people out there than there used to be." An ankle joint can easily come apart from the leg during a body's disintegration at sea, Buckingham said. The feet story started last August, when a foot was found on Gabriola Island and another was found on Jedediah Island. A third foot was found in February on Valdes Island, a fourth on Kirkland Island at the mouth of the Fraser River in May, and a fifth at nearby Westham Island on Monday. smcculloch@tc.canwest.com WHAT WE KNOW - Since last August, six feet clad in running shoes have washed ashore along B.C.'s South Coast from Campbell River to Ladner. - Five are right feet, one is a left. Two of the right feet were men's size 12. The sixth looks like a men's size 10. - The first two feet belonged to men. The shoes in the third and sixth cases appeared to be men's, and the fourth looked like a woman's sneaker. - DNA profiles of the first three feet don't match profiles of missing people. - There is no evidence any of the first four feet were forcibly removed. - As of August 2007, the RCMP had received reports of 2,317 people who were missing in B.C. for a period of at least 30 days. WHAT WE DON'T KNOW - Why only feet are washing ashore. - Whether the one left foot matches any of the five right feet. - Whether any of the feet's original owners fell victim to foul play. - The height, race and age of those involved. - How long the feet were in the water. - Whether the fifth foot belonged to a man or a woman. creepy psycho with a taste for sneakers ? so far, no severed bare feet were found, looks like ShoeWoe.

Each now and then people takes avoidable, and sometimes even fatal physical damage from things that are meant to provide protection. Like airbags, to name one. shoes are in the list. A woman in her late twenties suffered lethal injuries that seem related to a fall caused by some of the most stupid and noxious pieces of footwear ever conceived: high heels. She possibly tripped on her high heels after a night of drinking with college friends, the Post reported. She reportedly shattered her chin on a step. An autopsy is pending. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/08/28/nypd-probing-fatal-injury-woman-in-stairwell/ note, this reconstruction of facts is unconfirmed at the present time yet sounds pretty plausible.
Wearing stiletto heels can make you appear in style, poise and grace.:bobby: They do, however, take practice to walk and balance on different surfaces. They can cause injury and sadly, death. People and animals have also been electrocuted by electrified street utility covers. Just as one needs to slowly condition soles for walking barefoot on gravel, city streets, hot pavement, etc. one also needs to condition the body for the balance necessary to distribute one's weight on a smaller platform such as the heel and the body of the shoe. I do love going barefoot but then there are those times when it just feels great to go glam and put on a killer pair of six inch Gucci stilettos!
