how the fuck do you clean a bowl when 70% rubbing alcohol doesn't work?

I actually don't like cleaning my bowls. When I run out of weed and it's full of resin I pretty much get a free high just dry hitting it. I noticed pretty much every 8th I smoke out my bowl I have enough resin in there to get me lit one more time.

use acetone and ewww resin hits

 

give it a soak in any kind of degreaser... GooGone, Grease Lightning, etc...

leave it in there for at least a day, then you should just be able to run hot water through it and all the nastiness will wash away.

 

I did that before I bought the alcohol.

Yeah, depending on the shape of the bowl boiling may leave residue. More curvaceous bowls are much harder to clean that way. Chillims and such that's the best way to go.

 

70% isopropyl and course sea salt works for me. You have to shake the shit out of it (be fucking careful with glass, obviously) and sometimes you have to run it through more than once, but it should work.

There is some very resilient resin in the bowl piece of my bowl, like under where you put the weed. Maybe it will just be a matter of multiple soaks.

 

i know its overpriced and all that, but i think theres something magical about formula 420. just loosen up any of that remaining res with a paper clip and rinse it with water. its sort of pointless to get it 100% clean unless youre trying to bring it on a plane or something.. youll just end up smoking it again.
Whats wrong with resin hits? Theyre not the best tasting, but you can res hit bowls thru bongs and cool it down or whatever you need to do. Its certainly THC... it gets you high and you paid for it at one point or another...

 

I am not hating on resin hits, but I smoke mid. I don't need to smoke resin too! Also the shape of my bowl makes it difficult to get the resin out of it. You can get resin hits by pulling the flame through, but by now its simply gotten to be layers of burnt resin. gross.

 

put about a cup uf rubbing alcohol and a couple spoonfuls of salt (preferrably rock salt in a ziplock.

Shake the shit out of it and when you get most out, just leave it to soak for a few hours. take a paperclip, rub most of it off, wash with very diluted bleach, so the alcohol smell doesnt linger.. i hate the taste of rubbing alcohol.
it that doesnt work, we fuck, just leave it alone. lol

 

thing is now that I've used the alcohol I want it totally clean. I don't want this resin to still in be the bowl when I smoke out of it again.

Also water alone isn't enough to get the alcohol out?

 

I would have said use 99% alcohol...the 70 stuff has loads of water in it

 

at most stores i can only find 70% isopropyl alcohol. it works for cleaning my bong though.

sounds like you let the damn thing get way too dirty man

lots of water will rinse the alcohol away.
