I have to wear a beanie at work all day cause my boss thinks my hairs to sexy for the workplace. Fortunaley the beanies they gave us are way big and pretty stretchy. I don't think it's caused any harm though. If anything it's helped. Seems like as I put it on the lights go out and this song comes on

Is this fact or just mere opinion. I might have re-thinking to do.

That's the biggest bunch of ignorant, self-righteous bullshit I've read on this forum...Inform yourself before you spout off about locks....you couldn't be further from the truth...dirty locks don't dread.

And besides...if you feel that way, then what would possess you to look at this forum in the first place. It's like the whole thing with some of these Arab's who live in the US and commit crimes against the country...they don't hate America, they love it...but they feel guilty for loving our McDonald's, our strip clubs...

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
you just made my day, HDH <3

on topic, i wear a wool tam all the time at the moment (even in bed), and my loose hair is locking up much faster.... but i think it takes a certain length of hair for that to work, and it has to be a wool hat for it to help, polyester etc never has the same effect (though i couldn't tell you why, really)

also, a tam allows the hairz more freedom to move than a beenie. wearing a tam with real short dreads would feel strange I imagine...

well, there is a right way to do it. you said natural locks. well then what you're going for isn't a type of locks formed by using a certain palm rubbing technique, washing solution, cleansing routine, crochet maintenance, back combing, or any other technique that can be found on the internet.

natural is just doing what you do. naturally without premeditation. with regards to dreads that generally means, pretty much ignoring you have hair, not thinking about dreadlocks, not thinking about how to speed it up, or make it knot like fatties or knot like bob's dreads.

also...i mean, for fucks sake, if you weren't trying for unnatural dreadlocks would you be wearing a wool hat in the middle of the summer?! it was like 80 degrees here today, i can't imagine its much better where you are... i'd think you was a fool to wear a wool hat in the summer heat, an unnatural fool
