What does your Hipforums name mean to you?

The majority of us here have made up names to use while we are here. What is the signifigance of your name? And why did you chose it?

I'll go first. I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church and my initials are JC. I am interested in spiritual matters among other things thus Reverand JC. How about you?

Funny, I just went over this in another thread so I quote myself.

 

The Irminsul was the name of the world pillars erected in Saxon lands to hold the universe up from the earth. It is what the world tree Yggdrasil is based off in Norse mythology. I went for the name Yggdrasil but somebody had beaten me to it.

Mine isn't so clever as the others who have posted. The "granny" part is self-evident ... I have four grandchildren. The youngest is a sophomore in college.

The "longhair" part is because I still wear my hair down to my butt.

 

Heat is short for Heather.

I have had it for years. Was being called Heath and hated it, would say ER, then it was ER for a little. It drove me crazy until we compromised.

We all sawed off on Heat.

 

I couldn't decide on a name and mine struck me as funny. The more I think about it the more I can think of jokes that read into it, like how funny it would be if an Olympic swimmer had giant dreadlocks and won.
Another one I thought of post name picking... "So SWIM was doing some real sketchy shit..."

 

I think mine is pretty obvious.I just like to be naughty (in a sexual manner,of course)

 

Shale Stone has been my pseudonym since 1984 when I wrote an erotic piece about two friends, Bert & Shale. They wrote letters to each other about their exploits.

So, getting tired of having my real name come up on search engines for every little insignificant comment on a forum board (not this one of course ) I took the Web name Shale.

Actually, the idea of Shale goes all the way back to the '70s where I realized living in crash pads that I was often the most together guy (someone had to wash the dishes and get some toilet paper). I was seen as the rock of the crash pad but I knew I was like sandstone or shale - looks like a rock but crumbles under pressure.

 

Well, Aine is japanese for "love song" and what I want to name my first born girl (if I ever get a girl lol) and 69 cause I'm just a dirty person and 23 is my favorite number ^_^

 

My username is Italian and so am I, and the first word that came to mind was Princess. It seemed less narcissistic in Italian

Mine is because so many people comment on how "Ethereal" and "Faery-like" I am in the way I look and in my personality and my friends call me Ethereal instead of my real name, now it has just stuck.

 

Then there are the notorious photos of him doing a bong rip.

Meliai is from mythology...Meliai are ash tree nymphs. I wrote a kids story about trees and looked into tree mythology while i was writing it...I thought it sounded pretty, even though i'm not quite sure how to pronounce it lol

 

LOL..my name here is so stupid I hate it..but I dont want to lose my rep and contacts and the admin does not want to change it because everyone would notice and it would result in a flood of requests...I really think username changes should be a perk for lifetime members.

I wont post the name I actually want because some asshole will probably register it if they know I want it
