All my life (14 almost 15 years) I, as well as my family has fished or hunted, and personally I love fishing, It is by far on of my favorite pasttime activities, I've been fishing since I was like 3, and I don't think I could live without it. When I fish I do about 50/50 between catch and release, or puting them in a live basket and getting them cleaned so we can eat them, I must say though watching the fish getting cleaned I feel kind of bad because there usually still alive so ya kind of a guilty concience . The other thing that many of my family and friends are passionate about is hunting, mostly deer, but we hunt coon, squirells, coyote, rabbit, geese, duck, and so on, personally I only hunt deer, coon, and squirell, I also keep the bird population down with my pellet gun, clean, vital shots of course and mostly pest birds like blackbirds and crows, I feel bad about bird hunting when I don't get a clean kill and I have to put more than one shot into the animal, and bird is about the only thing I hunt that we don't eat. I like hunting but sometimes I feel bad about killing animals, not much anymore as I've grown older but still I occasionally do, so I was wondering what all of your views are on hunting and fishing, peace, love, and prosperity...dalton:deadxmas:
Not a hunter although I am a pretty avid fisherman. A good way to kill a fish before cleaning is to slice its gills with a knife, this will kill a fish in less than a minute. It will also make the fish taste better
I had a freind who had the "I love animals their delisouse" they ripped his bumper off with sticker!!! I love hunting and fishin. .I've t manshot many deer. buy times came home with just good memories. I saw so many mals so close. no antis get this close. Its a personal choice. If the anti's don't like that ansewer ,hell have me shot. unedjucated . moroons ya my spellin ain't great. don't really care what u think. :beatdeadhorse5:
I think that hunting and fishing is part of the circle of life. One should avoid hunting under populated creatures, however, to preserve their majesty, if possible. And one should keep their ears open to which animals' are getting overpopulated, if they are a hunter, so they can target those animals.
Man can't survive without taking some form of life to sustain himself, even plants are living life forms. Native Americans harvested plants, fish, and animals in a prayerful manner realizing that all life is sacred, and how we are all interconnected with everything else in the natural world in our efforts to survive in our daily existance.
Please stop shooting blackbirds and crows...bad juju man... besides, they are not pests! ZW Edit;(ZW) http://www.crowbusters.com/facts.htm Originally, crows were simply classified as varmints and could be shot anytime of the year. However, the U.S. has negotiated a treaty with the Mexican government to protect several species that move back and forth between the two countries. The treaty covers the entire major bird family Corvidae, which includes crows, ravens and jays. So without it necessarily being intended, the crow is now a protected species with limitations on how they can be hunted. The sport season for crows can be for no more than 124 days and can't occur during the peak breeding period in each state. More information on regulations. On Blackbirds; http://extension.missouri.edu/publications/DisplayPub.aspx?P=MX139 Starlings are not protected by law. All other species of blackbirds are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and state regulations. They may, however, be legally taken when involved in depredation, butshooting and trapping are not recommended as an effective means of control.
