Has anyone seen this movie. It's an interesting 1972 Sci-fi with Don Johnson (and an amazing little dog)and is very much worth seeing. Some people that have watched it quit before the surprising and worthwhile change of direction about half or 3/4 of the way thru, but to stick with it is well worth it. It is post --apocalyptic and one of my favorite movies. Has an "Eating Raoul" shaggy dog type situation--but that's all I'll say. Try it--I think you'll like it.[IMG]

Yes I have and I agree it is an underrated gem of sci-fi.
I am downloading it now to watch again:)
It was also released under the title Apocalypse 2024 in other countries.

If I remember correctly, it is based on a short novel by Harlan Ellison.

I haven't seen that poster for years. Think I'll look to buy one somewhere.

I referenced this movie in my blurb on The Book of Eli, a more current Post Apocalyptic flick.

That movie referenced A Boy and His Dog, which was one of the first Post Apocalyptic flicks.

Check the back wall in this scene which takes place in an abandoned movie house.

I love when they do shit like that in movies.
Although I was hard pressed to find much "kinky" in that movie, but in 1972, maybe?
