Films about hippies, the beat generation or bohemian lives in general?

I don't know what exactly I'm craving to see right now but I feel it's somewhere in this realm. nothing is really hitting the spot for me these days.

oh yeah, it doesn't even have to necessarily be about these groups; as long as it has that kind of vibe I guess

and thanks, I had heard of that a few months back and wanted to see it but totally forgot about it, I'ma see if I can find it

 

wait no now that wasn't what I'd heard of... I thought it was beach related though

all I remember frmo the description is that some guys in the early 60s or so went on a road trip to some place and then it got remade a decade or two later

Eight Miles High (original German title: Das Wilde Leben) - a biopic made in 2007 from the authorized biography of Uschi Obermaier.

Well, she was one icon of the alternative scene in the late 1960s in Germany, including the "Kommune 1" in Berlin, being together with another icon of that (Rainer Langhans) for a while, and is said to have had affairs with Keith Richards, Mick Jagger and Jimi Hendrix...
