So I wanted to share with you guys my first ayahuasca\dmt experience which occured late last night. I was only trying for a threshold experience but what I got some something so amazing and powerful, that I'm still in awe of it 12 hours later. I was not prepared at all for this intense trip but I must say I'm very pleased with what went down. Like I said earlier, I was just attempting a threshold expirience since it was my first dmt experience. I used a simple preperation: 8g of mimosa hostilis ground finely, 1 tbsp of rice wine vinegar and just enough water to cover the powder over by about 1mm. I only simmered it for about 20 minutes and then strained it and had about a shot of the brew. I've read about people brewing it for days, doing several boils and drinking a cupful of brew; this is why I was expecting to only have a mild experience. Boy was I wrong! Before I started the brew I had weighed out about a gram of syrian rue extract put it in a shot glass with some water and a dash of vinegar to let it soak. I downed the syrian rue which wasn't as bad as everyone claims. About 20 minutes later I downed the shot of ayahuasca brew. This stuff was a little foul and made my mouth instantly dry so I had to chase it with some water. It took about 20 minutes to begin to feel a little "off." I was very very similar to the begining of a mushroom trip except with a pronounced nausea. I fought the urge to puke for about 30 minutes as the shroom like effects intensified but at that point the urge was too strong. I walked outside to my backyard and had a good vomit session for about 5 minutes. This seemed to be the catalyst because after this I was in a full blown pyschedelic state. I was totally unprepared for this! I made my way to my room and layed down on my bed. This is where I started to kinda freak out from the intensity of the trip but as I do with all "bad trips" I talked myself down, explained to myself that no one's ever died from pyschedelics etc. I was able to calm myself and completly surrender to the DMT. I closed my eyes and saw the most beautiful fractal images which seemed so alien and nothing like anything I've seen before. it's hard to explain but it seemed as if they had a 4th dimension to them. This is when I realized that there was ,as best as I can describe it, a clan or tribe of "people" in my presence. I didn't really see them but I definantly felt their presence. They would tell me "here we go" and "now it begins." I would then get these intense waves of energy that would pin down my "soul", paralyzing me. then the energy, starting from my head, pulsated through my body. It was incredible, the closest thing I can describe it would be like being electricuted without any pain. This whole time there was this beautiful ryhthmic chanting, drumming, music. I was later "shown" I was participatiing in a ceramony. I was never told exactly what this ceramony was for as this is when I started coming down. slowly at first and then quickly I was back to baseline for the most part with some wierd visual after effects. I looked up at the clock... only about 40 minutes had gone by! Time dialation is definantly a big part of this trip. All in all I was very impressed with this, my first ayahuasca experience. Good post, thanks for sharing! What you experienced was what is widely known as the DMT communications. Many users report, moreso than other psychedelics, that DMT causes effects such as the presence of life-like entities, visuals alluding to biological systems, and often alien like beings desperately trying to communicate. I have only done DMT one time, and I had both closed and open eyed visuals that fit this bill to a T. Also, when I had these visuals, I was in a pitch black room, I mean pitch black, and I was laying facedown on a bed. I saw several alien like (similar to that of the band TOOL's clay-mation) beings all walking very oddly, and they were backlit buy a very brightly lit barn. I was certain they had something to tell me, but naturally, communication skills were minimal. You should definitely try smoking some quality DMT extract, the come up grabs you by the balls a bit more impressively I would presume.
