what do you mean by cold curing?

if you are talking about curing your buds in cold temperatures.. i wouldnt recommend it.. i dont really think its going to be harmful to your buds, but it could make the curing process take longer.

i found that curing took place just fine at about room temperature.. make sure your buds have proper moisture content before curing... too much moisture in a room temperature (65-75 F) can cause problems with mold, fungus, etc..

if you were to cure your buds in a cold enviroment, it would likely make the trichomes more brittle, and likely to break off if handled a lot.. this concept is used in the process of making bubble hash... the idea is to get the plant material super cold, so when it is stirred and ground up the weakened trichomes fall right off and are filtered to varying purities using the micron screen bag system...

so if your intent is to make hash, this could potentially work in your favor i suppose... if your nugs are just for smoking though, id go with a standard curing method.

i would think that the cold would surely prolong the process, as temperature plays a very important role in curing marijuana.

curing is done after the bud is dried to about 50% humidity, remove the lid for about an hour once a day. Gently rotate jar occationally to keep buds puffy. In a month bud will be 'cured' and you may stop removing the lid. Also you should keep jars in a dark place:>)
