"The video is truly gruesome and difficult to watch even for the most cynical person, but it should be seen by everyone with responsibility for what the U.S. has done in Iraq and Afghanistan (i.e., every American citizen)"

It's not your fault it was kinda unintentionaly ambiguous.

    I found a link:
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/apr/05/wikileaks-us-army-iraq-attack

Those guys should be in prison, imho.
They were convincing themselves that those people were armed.
They even said they had AK47's...6 of them had weapons. +
I can see two people possibly holding something.
It sounded like they were talking to their superiors who could not see what was going on.
They, imho, lied to make the situation seem worse so they could get permision to engage.
Now I know pilots eyes have to be good...but his must have been that of a hawk....and I don't believe they could not have zoomed in a little closer to get a better picture of what they were carrying.
From what I can see, they look like manbags not guns.
They are just too short to be AK47's.
They made a snap decision and didn't think twice.

To be fair, in the middle of the footage it did look like one person was hiding and it did look like he was holding an APG, I'll give them that.
But wouldn't you just fly the hell away from them?

    I agree, it is cold.
That does not surprise me...they have to be detached, I guess.
