Traveling Rainbow Gathering....

I'm headed west in two weeks, from NY to Cali then up to Washington State and will not be able to attend the National Convention in the NE. What i'm looking to do however, is meet up some some Rainbow family along my trip and have a "Mobile Rainbow" this summer. If you are anywhere along my route and want to meet up and camp out for a night or two, or maybe want to travel along with me, please let me know. Here is my travel plan/route...

Part 1 - West
May 23 - NYC? Philly? Baltimore?
24 - Front Royal, VA, Shenandoah National Park, stay in Monongahela or George Washington NF
25 - Through West Virginia, get Geocache! Into Kentucky, Daniel Boone NF, stay at Stephens in Lexington.
26 - Near Ft. Knoxx, to Mammoth Caverns National Park. Night in Land Between the Lakes NRA
27 - Ozarks Scenic Hwy in Southern Missouri/Mark Twain National Forest
28 - Eureka Springs, AR. Into Ok, Through Tulsa for re-supply. (Aaron via craigslist)
(or to Dallas to see Sarah Lari?)
29 - Across OK and into Panhandle, One of 3 N Grasslands for night.
30 - Capulin Volcano National Monument in NE NM. Into the Rockies for first time, night in Santa Fe NF.
31 - Into Tao's, Santa Fe? Bandalier National Monument, Jemez Hot Springs, Spend night where Rainbow was. (Contact Erica Krause)
June 1 - Aztec Ruins NM, into Colorado. Couchsurf in Durango?
2 - Mesa Verde NM, Hovenweep and Canyons of the Ancient NM
3 - Hobbs Wash Historic Marker (Bluff) Monument Valley State Park, Valley of the Gods. (Utah)
4 - Glen Canyon, Capital Reef NP. Camp on river (same spot as last time for bath)
5 - through Torrey, Grand Staircase National Park and Escalante River. Slot Canyons
6 - Bryce Canyon NP, Dixie National Forest.
7 - Cedar Breaks National Monument
8 - Great Basin National Park, into NV
9 - Americas Loneliest Highway
10 - Carson City/Lake Tahoe
11 - Break for San Fran and the Ocean

Part 2 - Up the West Coast June/July
- Hanging around San Fran (Millers Uncle, Jessica and Alexa (Laura Hansen?)
- 17th is my 26th birthday!
- Coastal Route to Ereuka/Arcada - Kims friends, Jenna? Dude from 10K.
- Redwoods State Parks, National Park. Sleeping on the beach.
- Meet up w Michelle Sirius...(Maitreya mountain village)
- Into Southern Oregon - Ashland, Medford
- Crater Lake NP - See Tyne
- Mt Hood NP
- Natalie in Bend, Or (Katheyn Bush in Eugene/Dufur)
- Portland - Shannon, Paul (if we can find him)
- Mt St. Helens (Gifford Pinchot NF)
- Mt Rainer NP (Tim works here now)
- Seattle - Couchsurfer dude from 10K, Sydne
- Olympic NP
- Sara from Yellowstone - Edmonds Washington (N of Seattle)
- Bellingham - Ryan Mulligan - Vancouver Canada, North Cascade NP

Part 3 - July/August
- Picking Micah up from Seattle/Portland around July 15.
- Settle in Pac NW? Spokane? Missoula? Jackson Hole? Colorado?
- North to Alaska, Wyo Gold and Deb?
- Start / Join an intentional community somewhere. Colorado or Oregon?
- Buy some land.


My Trip Goals.
- Find something to do with my life that gives me a sense of accomplishment, a job or purpose.
- Live in a positive environment, somewhere I like.
- Be active and healthy, and spend lots of time outdoors with Dazey.
- Eat well and avoid old bad habits, especially indulgence.
- Do not be a did not.
- Trip Causes - Sustainability, Random acts of Kindness, Natural Law (Life, liberty and Pursuit of happiness) Negative Consumption, Love, Adventure and Freedom.
- Find at least one geocache in all of lower 48. Only ones left are NJ, Delaware, WV, Kentucky, OK, Missouri, Iowa, Oregon, Louisiana.


Trip Agreement
- Gas and routine maintenance will be split evenly by all riders.
- Food costs should be kept low by cooking most meals. Groceries should be split, and a rotation will ensure all everyone has their turn cooking, cleaning and sitting back.
- While Jay may keep this "planned" route itinerary, the day to day travel will be determined by the majority and the flexibility will allow for some surprises. Jay gets an extra vote in the event of a tie.
- Plan for a laundry/town visit once a week.

Priscilla and i made it to Cali. We met a lot of people along the way and have been to a bunch of awesome places, including the site of the New Mexico Rainbow Gathering. They did a really good job cleaning the place. Only found like 1 piece of garbage and it was very hard to follow the trail to the main meadow.
