I just watched the Primus DVD Animals Shouldn't act like People with my fiancee. When Jerry was a Race Car Driver came on she asked me if they were deliberately trying to sound like King Crimson. Also on the special features they show Les back stage playing Sartori in Tangiers. Plus they've covered YYZ by Rush and Intruder by Peter Gabriel. I've also heard Les' solo group do Thela Hun Ginjeet by King Crimson and Shine on You Crazy Diamond and Animals by Pink Floyd in it's entirety. So doe's this count them as Prog?

    Peace Out,

That's a tough one. Musically they are straight from the books of Tony Levin, Chris Squire and Neil Peart. But, lyrically, they're complete Canadian humor.

Which is weird because they are from the SF Bay area.

I wouldn't call them prog. I don't know what the hell I'd call them. They're just Primus.
