I constantly (not every night) have dreams of impending doom. Most of them involve being stalked by some sort of "monster". Last night I had two such dreams. The first, I was walking down a trail in the woods, when I saw a bear. The bear was acting very aggressively, but it didn't see me. But knowing what bears are like, I knew I had to get away from there as fast and discreetly as possible. So I headed left of the trail where the ground rose up between me ansd the bear. But as soon as I moved, he saw me and began to chase. I climbed up a tree as quick as a could, but it was too late. He grabbed me and ripped me to the ground, when I woke up. Then later I was being hopelessly stalked by that thing from the grudge. I hate that shit.

It happens quite often with wolves and dogs too. Most of the time the catch me and begin goring me. But I don't wake up right away. I have enough time to experience the mauling and to fight back as much as I can. I could be having my jugular ripped open, but feel no pain, so I start gauging at its eyes or something. It fucking sucks.

And sometimes I have dreams where I just can't open my eyes, no matter how hard I try. It's like they have weights tied to them. That is the most horrible thing I've ever experienced.

I think the best you can do for now is to not complaint and stop fighting those dreams and instead let them take you deeper into your own waking, and healing.

You are so precious and worthy of any experience, and so are the animals you invite to be honored and teached, who just ask you to fully be present and look on life without fear. They connect you with your own life power and energy and the purity of spirit.

So just be aware of the energy you are part of. Honour the animals and yourself and accept that you are changing. Cherish your waking life in any aspect and look on it from the heart. Sometimes this is what opens the eyes. There is no weight that you cannot let go.

Hope this makes sense and thank you for sharing!

I usually welcome nightmares and scary dreams, because once I wake up, I think, "COOL! I can't believe I came up with that shit!" :D

I've had lots of "impending doom" dreams, but mine have had a tendency to be based on threats of nuclear destruction. I had a dream situation where we knew that a terrorist "James-Bond-type" villain had set three nukes to go off in Albany, NY (I was at school there at the time). I was part of a resistance group (think the resistance in "V") that knew of the plan and was desperately working, in our secret headquarters, to decode the bombs. But when the timer ran out (think the launch code in "Wargames," up on a screen), we all hugged each other and said goodbye because we knew that in moments we'd be vaporized... and that's exactly what happened. But after I was painlessly vaporized, I floated up through clouds, disembodied, and found myself in "heaven," and after the clouds parted I found my (then) girlfriend and we embraced. It was really cool -- I'd found my love in heaven!!!

I've had other nuke holocaust dreams, too. They always involve a palpable feeling of dread. In another dread-dream, one time I was on a beach and there was a big meteorite that hit the ocean miles away, and it send a huge shockwave that wiped us out (and then later I saw a similar scene in "Dinosaur"!).

I love dreams in which I die, because they give me a chance to explore the consciousness of the afterlife (or a facsimile of it, at least).

    Blue skies,
    -Jeffrey
