yeah i enjoy being barefoot sometimes in my house but idk if i were to walk barefoot outside infront of people i would feel incredibly awkward plus i cant stand pain so if i were to step on glass i'd be like traumatized aha
Well, it takes a little courage to make that first step in your bare feet... best thing to do for starters is to get together with people you know who also like walking barefoot and be barefoot together with them... it's easier to start that in a group. Or be barefoot in an environment, where it's expected, like e.g. while in a park walking on grass - and then just don't put on your shoes/sandals/flip-flops afterwards. You'll see, it feels great doing so. And about the pain thing: bare soles get tough quite fast if you walk barefoot regularly. And things like glass lying around can be evaded. Just look a few ahead on your path and walk around the stuff you don't want to step on. Something not to step onto... Wiggling bare toes encouragingly, ~*Ganesha*~
The trolls might as well give up, as it has been shown that going bf is good for your joints and calves.
Well, even though I am a regular visitor to that park, where some parts look like they could make up a kitsch picture postcard, there still are places there, that feel like natural forest floor, and in some places that soil got my bare soles truly Earth-colored... And, of course, there was all that plushy and soft green grass to feel underfoot and be happy. Well, that place feels like a little like magic and has an "enchanted forest" feeling about it in some spots, too... there's more to read (and a total of 21 pictures to look at) in my personal barefoot diary (the usual place, where I put that kind of thing... And certainly well-seasoned soles to walk on that gravel... Those aren't feet of a barefooting beginner. Keep it up and enjoy. Wiggling toes, ~*Ganesha*~

Bare feet touching nice sandy soil on last Sunday: (Hey, we can't have this thread leaving page 1 after all, or can we?? ) Wiggling bare toes, ~*Ganesha*~

Subway barefooting with shopping bags: And the trace of a little accident happening to my right pinky toe... I hate it when I stub my toe on a shopping cart wheel: Ah, well, shit happens to bare feet - sometimes literally, sometimes not. Wiggling happy and bare (even if they're bloody!) toes, ~*Ganesha*~
Relaxing my happy bare feet on plushy green grass on a medieval market, where I got some new (and partly loud) foot jewelry - the leather anklet with the shells and a handful of silver bells: And this is what my feet looked like after the end of the market (having walked on sometimes quite dusty paths in the park where it was held, too: Quite an enjoyable Sunday for bare feet. Nothing can beat a walk through cold mud with a bare foot. The cast and crutches make it a bit more of a challlenge - looking forward to being get both feet dirty again, even if I still need the crutches for a while yet!
