As sessions for some may get long and akin to a 'deprivation tank' experience, I have unnervingly heard a They Might Be Giants album 27 times in a row one evening non stop.

To prevent such occurrences, I will mention a groups name, as their primary method for promotion is word to mouth. Collect a number of albums by Fila Brazillia. Now I've not yet heard Sphongle, and know we all have our own tastes, but generally speaking, the instrumental beats of Fila fill my needs in an all-case-scenario manner once I have a discography and remote control handy. :p

No way! What do you play? What an outrageous privilege :D

This thread is making me feel warm and fuzzy knowing theres others out there who appreciate these things :_)

My favorite Dead Can Dance song, which coincidentally appears in my favorite movie, Baraka.

That's why I love Shulman so much, he takes the magic of shpongle-esque music and the magic of world ethnic music and make something supernatural . . .

hard to choose a favorite Shulman song but this is up there

That jimi song is almost too much. almost.

jimi is sitting in the crowd here just being washed over by the sitar in the main man's hands . . . RS. He is the omega musician. Imagine you were there . . .

I play the french horn :] most beautiful instrument there is, IMO, but I may be a little biased. :D

we also performed Rachmaninov's Symphonic Dances that season ... 'twas epic. had a number of unforgettable performance experiences that year.
