He just fucked me over for €700, now I need to take out another loan to rent a van, pay for a ferry to the UK and back and a nights accomodation which is going to be another €300 at least

He says hes coming down to the house latr on but if he does hes going to get a dig into the face. Seriously fucked me over on this one. Absolutely fucking ridiculous how lazy/uncooperative he can be.

After discussions with my parents and a few old rig crew members I used to work with my mum agreed to lend me €700 to invest in a second hand system, my dad agreed to drive over in the van with me to pick it up as its located in the North of London.

I have two months to pay my mum back so was already organising gigs and events to rent it out to. Everything has been organised and sorted and we were supposed to be going to London on Monday to pick it up. Called my Dad to confirm everything and now he tells me hes not going as he doesnt want to have to stay overnight in England.

This came out of the blue and has completely fucked me over. Going to have to hire a van for 2 days now and find another driver. Completely fucked me over on this one. Im going to make him pay for hiring the van and ferry costs though. He fucked me over on this one so he can pick up the fucking pieces. This isnt on at all, not having him piss about like this.

 

Next time were drinking together theres a good chance Im going to get hostile as fuck towards him. This is bang out of order.

My dad has let me down many times, I get how you're feeling. Is there no one who can stand in for him at all? I think whatever happens, he should help out with paying, seeing as you now have to work another plan out.

 

At such short notice its going to be hard to find someone to drop everything for two days. Hes going to be paying for any extra expenses, going to make sure of that.

No, borrowing the van is out of the question too. Thinking of maybe going through my uncles moving company. Going to have to come up with something either today or tomorrow though.

 

Initial rage over now. Posted this literally when I got off the phone with him. Will all be sorted, just extra expenses that we really couldnt afford. Selling a few things to get the money together for it though.

Yeah at the time if hed said that to my face Im fairly sure I would have snapped and smacked him. Its not just my money thats involved and the last two weeks have taken a lot of planning, negotiation and calculation. Its a big enough risk as it is and pulling something like this at the last minute is taking the piss.

I didnt really want to mix family and business but dealing with this Im treating it purely as business. For what I intend on doing with my future, this is a big step towards it and this opportunity is too good to miss. The other lads are well up for getting involved with a system again and the market is there for us, if going about it the right way, to make money and still be able to fund free parties throughout the Summer and after.

If people are going to start pissing about like this though, family or not, then I dont want them involved

Owning a rig isnt something just one person can do, setting up and transport requires at least two people, two isnt even enough to successfully keep it going, not if theres limited money anyway.

Nah, not slang really. Just the way you word some of your sentences, in general. lol There's nothing too crazy about it. It's just different than how we talk in the states.

Examples would be "This isnt on at all, not having him piss about like this" and "This is bang out of order."

Anyway.....at least you got shit taken care of.
