its a geometric fact - there is more surface to snow and thus more cooling effect on the smoke. You can fill your bong with a lot more snow than water, just keep pouring it off as it melts or you get one nasty wintry mess!

thats why in those old high-times top 1oo lists snow-bongs made an appearance regularly!

*edit* you asking about vodka brand, if you're not drinking it, ethanol is ethanol is ethanol. Get the cheapest you can, like McCormics. Can't beat $14 handles. And if you drink it, it's ALMOST the same as the worlds most expensive american style vodka, the difference being a minuet amount of higher alcohols.
