I liked it, but I think it's extremely overrated.

My sister, who hardly has a decent sense of taste for anything. She's a hong kong junkie, and only hangs out with certain cliques within her university; she saw The Dark Knight and said she enjoyed it as much as you did. But her reasons were pathetic, as much as her usual excuses of any possible literacy of understanding.

She said she was on her seat heart pounding the whole time. I asked her what the story was about and she couldn't even explain it. I asked her about the deeper meanings, and how the actors fufilled their roles on 'character presence'. She was clueless.

She did mention how her friends watched it with her said it was that awesome too.
And almost everyone that has seen it that I've spoke with have the same love for this movie.

I'm not saying it sucked, I really liked it, but it's overrated. I do know some people that actually disliked it.

I've watched it 4 times, every time I seen it I understood a bit more of the plot and characters, there's a lot going on and everything gets thrown at you very quickly. There's also alot of characters. Sweet movie, I also like Batman Begins and hope they put out another one. Who's the the badguy gonna be? Penguin? The Riddler? Sub-Zero?

I don't think any move could be as amazing as most people seem to think TDK is, but it's still a very very very good film. The only thing wrong with it, and which seems to be something of a trend in these movies nowadays, is it tries to do too much. The Two-face story was too rushed... and the final act was convoluted.

On the other hand, this Joker is a truly amazing character... the story is good and should have worked, but there's just way too much for one movie. They should have waited until the next film to do the Two-Face story, and had the final act focus on the Joker.

As for the next villain... I think it will be the Man-Bat, and keeping in the spirit of uber- realism, it's going to be a real bat, but very very very @$%ing big. Bruce Wayne will spend two hours trying to get out of his newly-built mansion. It will symbolize his desire to escape his Batman persona before it swallows him completely. Near the end of the film, he will be introduced to Ace, the Bat-Hound, who will take some of the burden off of him, and symbolically catch and kill the bat flying around in his house.

I didn't dislike it, but it wasn't as good as I thought it would be, and definitely nowhere near as good as batman begins. The story was convoluted, the movie itself was too long, there were too many characters that it tried to focus on. The car chase scene had no music. and Maggie Gyllenhall did a bad job as Rachel. I felt like it almost could have been two movies, and they should have saved two-face for the next one.

Best thing about it was Heath Ledger.

i didn't really like it. I was never into superhero type movies, which they seem to be making a lot of nowadays.

is it worth watching? i tried watching Batman Begins and i couldn't get through an hour of it, it was completely boring. is this pretty much the same or is there actually something interesting in this one? i'm not one to watch it just because it's Heath Ledger's last film (Parnassus excluded).

Its a good film but became overrated when Heath Ledger died. It was hyped as the best film almost like how Avatar was branded the greatest film ever.

I'm not a fan of superhero movies neither and although this may be among the best in the genre it didn't impress me really. I think I liked Batman begins even more.

It's my favorite movie, I was so drawn into this movie, and i can watch it over and over. The only thing i didn't like about this movie was there was three boring scenes of just talking and each one lasted like fifteen minutes. They should of just cut those seens short and save a good half an hour on time.

But that is nothing, i've been able to point out three or more problems with every movie i've watched, and The Dark Knight is the only movie i can't find mutlible problems with.

I love the guy playing Batman in this, both the villains were the best villains i've ever seen, and even the side characters have plently of depth. The drama in this was extremely intense, the soundtrack was amazing, the special effects were top notch and i've yet seen a movie that's even 75% as entertaining to my personal prefrences.
