I figured this is the most appropriate forum for this topic. I have a HighSchool Co-Op program with the Canadian Forces regiment in my town, starting next March. I have been seriously considering a career in the Canadian Forces for some time now (this is not the issue please keep opinions on the CF/Militarism out of it for now), but I have one major concern - My eyesight. I am shortsighted, have been since I was just a toddler, as far back as I can recall anyway. I read recently from several sources that relaxation of the eye muscles can help, cure, or even reverse myopia (short sightedness). I have been half-heartedly doing such eye excercises like 'Palming' and eye stretches. However, my favorite technique for relaxing the eyes is just plain relaxing conciously. I have noticed recently when I consciously notice things in the distance my eye muscles have a tendency to start twitching like a tazered pre-teen. I know that my eyes are relaxing, as I have felt better in general over the last few days (my eyes were one of my stress strongpoints that I had trouble breaking through, until a couple weeks ago). However, I have a couple questions for this board. 1) Has anyone tried this before? Results? Experience? 2) Can you recommend anything else that might be effective, other than meditation and getting outdoors more? and also, I would like to make a request for anyone who has the time and inclination that they might try to tap into my being, and tell me if there has been a positive difference in my vision from the recent past to now, or if they can foresee what my vision will 'see' in the future (haha puns). Thank you one and all, smooth vibes.
