are death cap mushrooms really deadly? how can i identify one? umbrella term?

well someone i know is selling shrooms and he said that the guy he bought it from said they are death caps. i googled the name and it said that death caps are really poisonous. i want to know if you guys can help me identify what a death cap looks like-maybe you can point me to a site with the identification? also, the scientific name is amanita phalloides-would this even be considered a magic mushroom? because i know amanita muscaria isnt considered a real magic mushroom

also, i posted on another forum asking about this and someone said that some people use the word "death cap" as an umbrella term when they refer to all magic mushroooms. have any of you heard of this?

 

I tried them, they are actually LEGAL. They might be deadly in ridiculously high doses but they are pretty safe even though they a toxic.
I ate close to a quarter (the dosage on them are more then regular shrooms) and I didn't feel anything, I felt a little drunk-like feeling but it was completely non-psychoactive/ hallucinogenic.

Mine might of been a bad batch, but I'd like to know if it worked for you

 

they are claled death caps for a reason. mushrooms eating or picking are not activities for the ignorant. do your homework first

 

NO NO NO you are gonna get someone killed if they don't understand what you're talking about. Those are aminita muscaria, a psychoactive mushroom but not one containing psilocybin, they are NOT death caps.

almost pure white, and soft to the touch(i dont know all the technical terms of its anatomy) but its very easy to distinguish this one from any other species that is psychedelic..
Do not eat this mushroom above for any reason what so ever. Its White and creamy, the gill will give off white slippy substance and it will sometimes always fall apart in your hands. very good reason (its telling your not to touch it_).
It will not harm you if you do touch it and accidentally lick your fingers. It will take a few bites (gram or less ingestion to effect the liver and others organs like kidney. It will be a very sharp pain to what ive been told. most people in modern society live when reporting ingestion within 24hrs..

drugs jokes relating to go shoot draino, drink gasoline, inject elmers glue are funny and post humorous.

Mushroom identification isnt a laughing matter and advising anyone to eat some destroying angels cause they get you high, will not be tolerated..

 

destroying angel and deathcap are two different types of amanitas. they're not the same mushroom. Amanita phalloides =death cap
amanita virosa=destroying angel

 

this is the type of stupidity that gets the casually curious killed. the toxins in the destroying angel can take out something as big as an elephant. eating a known toxic mushroom is a great way to get a drawin award smart guy.

no worries, we only get the destroying angel here. though it's rarely encountered in the wild. i've actually found it a couple fof times during my hikes in the woods looking for edibles
