This will probably split opinion but i'm a big fan of Will Ferrel. I think Anchorman and particular Blades of Glory to be very funny. But I also love Happy Gilmore, Analyze This, Plains Trains and Automobiles, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and all the Monty Python films. And Bean: a disaster movie

I think there are two overlooked movies when it comes to discussing comedy classics. One is What's New Pussycat? written by and starring Woody Allen (in his first role) a handsome Peter O'Toole, a hilarious Peter Sellers, a ravishing Capucine & Paula Prentiss & Romy Schneider. It's not perfect but it has several moments that will have you on the floor. The other is Catch 22. The movie was almost universally panned and did poorly at the box office. "Everybody" said the book was better. Except me. I thought the book was a huge disappointment and the movie one of the funniest and most brilliant ever made. Try to scare up a copy and see for yourself. Edited to add: Each is best seen with a moderate buzz. Repeat as necessary.
