hey everyone. so i got prescribed zoloft...are there any things i should know about it?? what are your experiences?? have you smoked weed on it?? i usually take other benzos (kpin, xanax) not prescribed..should i be worried about the interactions with it? also what other drugs (x, lsd) should i not combine with zoloft? tell me everything! thanks a million
You can smoke weed on Zoloft, but after a while you'll probably notice you don't get as stoned anymore or the high is different... avoid most psychedelics because after the Zoloft is in your system, they won't hit you like they should and there is also the risk of Serotonin Syndrome with many psyches while on an SSRI. The benzos, I'm not sure about but are probably fine...
i wouldn't take it if i were you. you're far too young to be on that shit, and it can really do some nasty stuff to your personality. but then again i don't know your situation, perhaps you really need it. good luck man
thanks for the responses guys marksup- how will affect personality? other people please post i want to know moree especially if uve been on it or know someone who haas been thanks
I don't really want anyone to take pharmaceuticals unless it is absolutely necessary..... basically if you can function you should try changing things in your life to make it better instead of adding chemicals to your body.
thanks for your concern, but unfortunatley there are circumstances in my life that cannot be changed. ive had multiple episodes of anxiety/depression and my doctor knows me and only wants the best for me. i know what your saying and i have changed the things i can like increasing my exercise routines and eating healthy, hopefully the combination of this plus the zoloft will improve my well-being. i still want to know personal experience with this medication
i was on zoloft 150 mg on and off for like a year and a half up untill about 3 months ago. from what i understand i was on a pretty high dose and it didnt do SHIT for me. I have never once noticed a difference between when i was on it and when i was not. I suffer from major depression and social anxiety and it helped as much as a sugar pill would have. My experience with zoloft has left me thinking all anti depressents are a scam... and the only reason one would work is a) your brain works substantially different then mine or b) placebo. all that being said and knowing that marijuana has helped me far more with my depression and social anxiety then anything a year and a half of being institutionalized on zoloft and in therapy 24/7 has done, if u do decide to take the zoloft, here are some things ive noticed about it. first alcohol seems to be stronger when your on zoloft. not by much but 6-8 beers would get me as drunk as if id drunk a 12 or something. also dont plan on taking lsd or mush unless u dont want to trip. for some reason those two drugs just did not work nearly as strong. and if you like to roll id be careful since zoloft is an ssri the possibility exists that the combination of those could cause serotonin syndrome. be safe and remember just cause you self medicate doesnt mean you take the wrong medicine.
thanks man, unfortunatley my pot-smoking has only contributed to my problems :/ only in the sense that it just seems to "take my mind off things", but when the high wears off everythings back.. thanks tho, moree
my mom was on that and it help her, she was feeling so good she stoped taking them, now feels like crap. but she dose not smoke pot or do lsd or other shit, she dose take kipin
also I forgot to add, I take meds for my depression anxiety. and smoking dose not effect me in away, I can get high as shit off 2 hits. and my meds keep doing it's job
youre defeating the purpose of seeing a psychiatrist, if you still use other drugs on top the medications they give you..
I've honestly heard the least-worst things about zoloft than any other SRRI, if that makes sense. My mom was on it for years until just one day, overnight, it literally stopped working and she plunged into depression. It is go you hear you are being proactive and making lifestyle changes. DO NOT stop that once you are on meds, do both, be active, verbal, exercise, eat well, all of that and meds. My only concern is you are saying there are life circumstances that cannot be controled that are causing this. But that is a periodic time, not permanent, so medication should only be used to get through these circumstances, not as a lifetime fix. And also, things are constantly out of our control, it is about how you react to said circumstances that really help with anxiety and depressed. Best of luck!
I guess it depends on the person. Some people may consider anorgasmia to be a good thing. Some people are prescribed SSRI's specifically to prevent premature ejaculation. I've always wondered if it has the same effect on women though. That would suck.
It totally does. It's akin to that "sneeze stuck in your nose" feeling. Build up with no release. Terrrrriibbbblleee
It really is. When I got off SSRI's, literally two weeks later I bought a vibrator and orgasmed in under 10 seconds. It was awesome
