I just posted the following in the "Psychic" forum:

I would like to hear anyone's opinions on this, from a spiritual point of view. Is the possibility of psychic visions evidence that there is some sort of divine presence, be it something like "god", or perhaps more of a interconnected cosmic conscience?

I have always thought of myself as atheist / agnostic, but this has slightly shaken my stance on the issue.

    What are your thoughts?

Ah, first you need to prove psychic ability exists at all.

For years the James Randi Education Foundation has offered a million dollar reward for anyone who can prove psychic ability under scientific observation.

No one has collected the reward.

Most likely you had some subconscious intuition about your dog being sick or it was just a coincidence. How do you dream of a death and not know if it was a person or a dog?
Our minds have a nasty habit of playing tricks on us.

I think it would be more evidence of seeing to believe. Or perhaps an effect like special atmospheric conditions enabling one to tune into a radio station far beyond it's usual broadcast reach.

Something we may notice is when we focus on a subject evidence relating to that subject tends to appear. Consider the slug bug. Not many vw beetles register conscious remark, but when you play slug bug, you see beetles everywhere.
