If the crowd insists on moshing there would be a moshpit. Perhaps you just need to start it :D

Destruction should replace Metallica in the "Big Four." Anyone agree?

I think they're playing this at a movie theatre near me. Gotta check it out.

I don't think you can really replace Metallica, even if they have lost it.

I say, that Megadeth and Anthrax should take over as the big two, but it ain't happening =P

That looks like a great show! especially if metallica headlines and plays last that means I could get up and leave before they play. sweeet.

I saw Anthrax play with Priest onc3, best show ever.

    Modern Slayer, definitely.

Prime Slayer and prime Anthrax, I give Slayer the edge, but find both overrated.

ok. prime slayer over prime anthrax, but out of prime they both suck. although I dont think Anthrax has put out new cds. Armored saint (john bush's band) has a new one called La Raza and it is very tame, although very talented and fluid. They've lost their teenage angst now that they are pushing 50. Can't really headbang to it like the old stuff.

Slayer has just lost their energy too. They are still very good, just not the best anymore.

I went to see Slayer just this last November at Luna Park in Sydney, it was one of those ones where they play a whole heap of songs and then play the entire Reign in Blood album. Ive seen them in concert about 1/2 dozen times before but never seen the Reign in Blood thing.

Anyway, I was 37 at the time, near the end of my moshing days, I'd been to fuck knows how many concerts in my life time, we were tripping off our heads, and granted they were playing mostly their old stuff, but It was the best frigging concert I'd ever been to, crowd went absolutely nuts, there was moshing like I'd never seen before.

Kind of gave me the shits in a way, that it took 20 years of concert going to get to that.

Nothing beats Prime Slayer in concert

As for the big four, playing together would be one thing, but:

Slayer playing Reign in Blood, Megadeth playing Rust in Peace, Anthrax play Spreading the Disease and Metallica playing And Justice For All, now that would be a awesome concert

Slayer don't deserve a place on that list. They never did.

Fuck Slayer and their many interpretations of basically the same song.

Metallica may have lost it for a while, but their new album is pretty good.Slayer will be kicking ass until one of em kicks the bucket(time hasn't done kerry king any favors).Megadeth & Anthrax are both good,Megadeth I know puts on a great live show. But I'd give my left nut for the chance to have seen Pantera back in the day.best metal band ever IMO.
