so... It turns out Rand Paul is just another tool. (well, depending on your opinion)

it doesn't REALLY matter who supports them, in the few years I have been paying attention to the world, I have not seen a politician that I could vote for with confidence. Most of them end up being power hungry, evil, or just stupid.

If someday someone comes along and I firmly believe they could make a positive impact on the country, I will vote for them. However, I don't see that happening soon (if at all) because even with the occasional exception, most people are still controled by the same little group, and when they aren't, they're still annoying suckups or idiots or (insert politician's quality here).

I'd be happy to lead a revolution and help to establish a new system, but voting for your favorite slug ain't gonna do much.

i always thought i would never vote, i was raised in a very anti-voting family.
i vote now though...voting in the last election helped decriminalize (respectively) and get rid of dog racing in my state

I think that qualifies Rand Paul as more of an idiot than a tool, but considering the fact it's Kentucky and he had tea party support he could just be pandering to his voter base.

Yes, I do. If you don't bother voting, you can't complain about what the government is or isn't doing. If you really don't care; fine, don't vote.

Well.. If you vote, and your person gets in, you have no right to complain.

I in fact do, because I'm not the one who helped elect the person whose fucking up our country, and now we have to figgure out a way to clean up the mess you've made.

Yes, but like the UK elections - if everyone voted it would be likely that we wouldn't have ended up with this ridiculous government. Each vote does count. I voted Lib Dems, even though they didn't win by far, they still ended up sharing power

And also, if you able to vote for the last election, then you could have joined in making a difference, rather than stand back not vote then complain that others who actually bothered to take an interest in their country have 'messed things up'
