Since noone else seems to be giving tribute to the guy - I will! Maybe you are all too metal to honor the guy who helped write some of the best sabbath tunes! This guy rocked when we were all in short pants and having our mommies cook our dinner. If it werent for this guy, there would be some serious gaps in the tapestry of rock. Cheers to you Ronnie Dio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rajfsx0sUnU"]YouTube- Heaven and Hell - The Mob Rules (R.I.P Ronnie James Dio) and dont forget how he got that gig with sabbath! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpgu9wKJVbc"]YouTube- Rainbow - Man On The Silver Mountain (From "Live In Munich 1977") and of course, the first thing most of us heard him with, Elf! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuqcbxcPlc0"]YouTube- Elf(ronnie james dio) Gambler, Gambler track 8
Another musical great has been lost....yet he will live on through his music....from his days in Black Sabbath to his solo career. RIP Ronnie...you will not soon be forgotten!
OP also fail to start a thread on the drummer for Twisted Sisters but thats ok... (who died on that same day) RIP https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MotNtq41NDw"]YouTube- Twisted Sister - We're Not Gonna Take It - Live at W:O:A
No one gives a fuck about Twisted Sister, let alone the drummer. Dio was every metalhead's grandfather, but I guess his legacy now ensures his deification. So praise the lord!
Fuck that. Under the Blade is the only song that has ever scared me. Hopefully both of these awesome people will live on long past their mortal lives.
One of the best, if not the best vocalists ever in rock, and a true gentleman. His time with Rainbow and Sabbath was the best, and Elf and his solo stuff was great as well. A man that will be truely missed. I saw him a few years ago, and to think that such a small man, maybe 5 foot 2, could belt out such volumes, but he did. The world is a smaller place without him, that is for sure.
definitely a shame.I didn't much care for the song I heard off his last album, but I'll jam the old shit til they screw me into the ground.I think I wore out my dad's "mob rules" & "heaven & hell" tapes when I was a kid lol
