I saw this: http://eusja.wordpress.com/2010/04/26/norway-brainwashed-science-on-tv-creates-storm/ And I thought about how in TV and conversation, you hear far more about "nurture" than "nature." Could be truth in that. :xmastree:
Nurture is often a big part of human nature given our complex psychological state. Also scientists often have different views on things, shocking I know. Take this: This isn't Norway, in the sexual and cultural revolution of the 60's and 70's it was a very popular theory all around the western world that both genders were born as a blank slate, even to the point of people identified as their gender because they were socialized to. People who were on the nurture side during that time were always in the sidelines in all countries. Only being at that paragraph the author already loses near all credibility for being unable to put things into context to recent history. The cool thing about science and psychology is it's always evolving, just like 120 years ago Freud was convinced everything revolved around the penis. And now it has changed, in regards to sexual orientation and gender identity it's agreed by most scientists that it is in fact nature, aside from medical evidence, the testing and failure of the nurture theory during that time helped play a great deal in its downfall among the mainstream.
