No, not for me, for my cat. I just had to shove a pill down her throat... super fun stuff! Anyone else had to de-worm their animal or themselves? I assume she got them because of all the rats she eats. Which sucks because I'm sure she'll get them again as there is now way to get rid of the rats and she will keep eating them. This area is so full of rats that there is really nothing that can be done.
We raise dogs, so when we have a litter we de-worm the mom's and the pups. We do not use a pill, we use Strongid which is a liquid and measured for the size of the dogs. It is messy though.
Yeah, I made my cat go outside for the 'expelling' process! I wanted to get a liquid kind, but all they had at the pet store was a pill.
Aww poor kitty. It sucks to have to de-worm your pet. I've used a liquid kind for my cat when she had worms.
We get it from the vet as at any one time we could have 70 dogs that need to be done. So we order a large bottle and do them. Each pup is done in a cycle of three times so it makes sense. I am not sure if they would even have it at a pet store as it is the same as used for livestock. I know what you mean by outside.
We dewormed a stray cat we took in a couple months ago. There isn't much grosser then watching a kitten shit out hundreds of half inch long worms and lick them off his fur. Bleh.
I'd hate to think of what would happen to the vet if I took Pele there... she would rip their face off! Maybe if they sedated her...
What's really fun is de-worming a a crazy ass chihuahua... Nothing like trying to shove a pill down its throat while its trying to eat your fingers off.
