Dark Star Orchestra

Gonna be seeing them once in Springfield, Ohio in late July and another time at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park up in Northern Ohio. Great cover band for the dead. Anyone here fans?

 

They're pretty good. The guitar player really looks different than before.

 

Which one are you talking about? Half the band seems a tad bit chunky in my opinion.

Great cover band, seen em a few times when they'd come to Florida and once in Cali. One of my old neighbors used to be friends with some of the band and would always get a handful of free tickets... getting to the shows would be just as much fun as watching them.

But aye, they do play good dead music... usually all based off a prior show and set list the dead had played.

 

That's one big guy..

 

i love them... i miss John but it is good to see him play with furthur.

but yeah I've seen them 23 times since allgood 2007 and I will be seeing them a 24th time this week. YEAH!!!

 

stu allen is now with dso.
he also plays with jgb(jerry garcia band).
hes a great guitar player.. sounds very close to jerry

 

stu allen is great, did that last jgb tour i like him better than kadlichek. got to blaze with him a couple times

 

yeah hes a pretty cool dude.... oh and he'll be at schwagstock with jgb next weekend. and in july too

 

Only saw DSO once, but it was an outdoor courtyard so it was nice and cozy. I do see what the big deal is about them, they are amazing.
