I went nude on a regular beach yesterday - it was pretty busy as it was one of the hottest days of the year so far in a popular seaside resort. Nobody seemed at all fazed. I didn't parade around at all, just sat reading with my parts discreetly covered by a paperback book. No-one seemed offended, a few people smiled and some took sneaky pix on their mobile phones.
You are in Europe where things like this aren't as shunned as they are in psycho-Christian America. They have such a problem with nudity here. No offense to Jesus Christ because I have mad respect for him, but most of his followers are off their rocker and are quite annoying with their silly laws.
I have a beach very close to my home. I have been going out early before sunrise and swimming nude. I usually see no one that early. But this morning I found out that I have been watched. I was joined in my daliy nude swim with 2 women who are visiting the area and have seen me. We spent so much time talking and enjoying the sunrise that by the time we came out of the water there were quite a few people on the beach. Some smile, most didnt seem to care. btw, I'm in florida.
there are oodles of beaches here and all one usually has to do is walk down the beach a ways where everyone is too lazy to venture to and then one is free to do as one pleases theres a little very hippyish community 10 minutes down the highway that has a wonderful beach and theres always a few nude people or topless women. theres plenty of lame uptight people too who will make snide remarks but they are always people who come from one of the surrounding towns lol, everyone who lives there is super super cool.
and you also dont live in the us... im seeing a trend. stupid america, all the freedoms and rites, cant even go nude down the street.
I use to swim nude in the ocean all the time. Alot of times people would be on the beach when I came out, nobody ever said anything, but they were really all that close so they prolly werent even sure it I was really naked or not.
I am a strong believer that it's all in how you do it. You did it well. Maybe some time it will be possible to get up and walk around, and still not appear like you're parading around.
You wouldn't get away with it in the UK unless on a deserted beach. I always stick to recognised beaches. Even in France or Spain I ensure it's a beach where naturists have been before.
If you were in this country, you would more than likely be writing that in your jail cell--arrested for "indecent exposure." This is a country of prudes--despite the many nudist resorts and beaches. We have three types of people here: those who love being nude and do it as often as possible, those who do it secretly and mostly just at home, and the prudes who are 100% against nudity outside the bedroom and bathroom and will call the police if they see a nude person of any age anywhere. In my home city, a little girl (about 5) changed her clothes under a towel on a local beach, and a woman called the police on her! The police were upset about having to waste their time just to find out it was a small child, and they chewed the woman out for it. However, had that been an adult changing on a local beach, he/she would have been arrested, charged with "indecent behavior' and maybe other charges related to being nude in a public place and more than likely put on a "sex offender's list." I read about a little boy who looked up a little girl's dress and was put on such a list. Now he is considered a "sex offender" for looking up a girls' dress. It's a good thing no adult saw me playing "Show me yours and I'll show you mine" with a little girl when I was a kid.
Jesus isn't the One Who has a problem with simple nudity--it's the misinformed people who misquote and misuse the Bible to "prove" that nudity is wrong.
A couple of years ago one hot day went to a busy beach. walking to far end saw a lot of topless girls and a nude couple in a open front tent. Then a nude man lying on his front, followed by a topless girl. I then found a spot to sit and read my book, as it was hot i though what the hell and took my shorts of. No body was very close but 3 teenage boys arrived but didnt take any notice and played ball and lay in the sun.Awhile later a couple with a baby came down the bank behind me catching me out, she spoke to her b/f husband (how very nice). They then sat down a few yards away and both striped down to very brief pants.
Please read my original post again and check the location - I did "get away with it" on a busy beach in the UK.
My, my, the Brits are progressive. Brighton! And a paperback covered the 'parts'. Hmm, that's turning over a new leaf...
Yes, the Brits are progressive! Since 2003, their law has said that non-sexual nudity is legal. Steve Gough proved that by walking the length of the country naked twice, and although the police hassled him several times, he was never prosecuted. Scotland has its own laws, however. Some British nudists say that now that every beach is legally clothing-optional, nudists should be getting more assertive. So far that doesn't seem to be happening much.
