Has anyone around here seen Julie Taymor's Across the Universe? It's starry-eyed, but it works, and it really is an enjoyable and thoughtful film.
I've seen it tons of times. It's a great movie. And their covers of The Beatles' songs are really, really good. Especially "Because".

I'm listening to the soundtrack right now. Wow, i freaking love this movie. They captured the feeling back then PERFECTLY, and the songs are so beautiful. Especially "because" and "Across the universe" which both give me goose bumps o: Oh, and strawberry fields forever. Everyting about the movie just love so much. c: I cried a lot in it though o_o especially when Lucy came back to find out her boyfriend died, and that whole seen with her mom falling and she drops her necklace, then the riots when "let it be" started to play. Bawled. My. Eyes. Out. D:
