I unwillingly moved from texas to colorado almost three years ago. I just finished high school and will move back to texas and attend a college there to room with an old friend (from tejas). Here's my colorado experience thus far: - I have no friends - My best "friend" here is a 40 year old - Built a poker bankroll from $50 to $1400 - 2.8 GPA - My dad died - Both my Granddads died - Work at my church - Got a Palm Pre - Smoked some herb
...and even in the Stoner's Lounge, the only ones who will talk to you are guys in their 40s. Damnit.
What's wrong with being 40. Hell, i'll be 41 this June. Man, I am getting old. Dude, I have every confidence that you will make friends in college. Join a fraternity that will help. Frends for life.
I'm 19 and a REALLY good friend of mine is 48. Older people are cooler, man. They seem to actually know their shit.
I'm 25, one of our good friends is 76. We smoke at least 2 times a week.. Age is all in a number. You haven't done any hiking or anything? Colorado is hte most gorgeous state
Popularity, where you going to school? Sorry you didn't like Colorado, Texas gets a lot of shit but it's still a damn good place to live.
Dad got a job. TCC. It's in DFW but it's a community college. Sometimes I'm really miserable, but I'm ok. I think college will be sweet and it's nice that I already have friends there. I can't wait.
You'll like college a lot more than high school and making friends is way easier. Don't worry you'll have a good time. Are you living on campus or is your family moving back there?
You'll enjoy college, but don't turn your back on people because of age. Just because your friend in Colorado is 40 it doesn't mean he is 'less cool' or anything like that. Tip to the wiser, most 18 year old are really, really, annoying. You might miss the more sophisticated conversations.
I play poker every friday night with a bunch of older folks. Hell, last week I was talking to a guy who's probably 70 about the pyramids while smoking a cigarette with him!
dont worry i'm sure everything will work out for you at the moment i'm pretty worried about what i'm gonna do after i graduate but w/e it'll work out
I would much rather live in colorado... legal weed but good luck to you, in my 4 years of high school, ive done nothing with my life except get a job and a car so dont feel bad.
