I'm just curious.....will methylone cause a false positive for amphetamine or anything else on a drug test? If anyone has any experience or knowledge on this subject, I'd greatly appreciate some insight.
I researched this a little while back and couldn't find a false positive. Either way, its doesn't matter for probation. Its not a scheduled chem. IF it did cause a false positive then when they go to gc/ms it they wont know what it is. They have something like a blueprint that they compare the gc/ms tests to. Methylone doesn't have a blueprint yet. Nor is it even scheduled. If its for a job, they don't do the gc/ms test thing. If you get a false pos. then they immediately reject your application. Good luck trying to get them to retest you on that case. I know if I was an employer and anyone had a pos I wouldn't even bother with them, false or not. You don't get that if your not doing any drugs. BUT from what I have read, there are no false positive cases yet.
Cool. That's what I've gotten from my research too. Just wanted to get some insight from fellow forumers. It's not for me, btw. It's for a friend of mine who's staying at a homeless shelter and wants to sell some methylone to some other residents. The shelter tests for drugs and the dude is worried about selling to someone, and then the customer testing positive on a test and getting kicked out of the shelter, so I figured I'd ask you fine folks.
Go buy a drug test at a drug store (CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, etc.) after you've done some methylone and find out for sure.
