Hey all I just came out about a yea ago, I'm 24 years old and am finding it extremely difficult. I have looked at a few threads and I didn't see anything relavent to my situation. I'm 24 and have had anal sex with my now ex bf twice. The first time was painful and we gave up, the second time was a little more successful but he jammed it too hard causing me extreme pain, the next morning my bowel movement was fresh bright red blood which freaked me out. A little bit of background on me. I have an enlarged prostate for my age. The doctor didn't tell me how enlarged but it wasn't anything he was concerned about. He knows I am gay and into anal sex (or want to be) for me it is extremely painful. I met up with a very nice older guy A while ago who was expierenced and he got 2 fingers all the way inside of me and then proceeded to use his penis next, it was painful but ok. He got about half of his penis inside of me before I had him pull out. The next few days there was pain with bowel movements and some spotting on the toilet paper. I saw my doctor a few days ago about it, he suggested I might have a fissure that isn't healing. He dis an exams and couldn't find anything. He told me I had pretty powerful muscles, the tool kept coming out due to uncontrolled spasms. He prescribed me hydrocortisone sepositories to use twice a day for a week, I am half way through treatment. I can't say if it's helped or not.

So I met this guy I really like, we've been on a couple of dates and I want to be prepared, I k ow Colt has these three sizes anal plugs and didn't know if inshould buy them to do some stretching. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Until the. I am going to see a proctologist to find out what's up. Thank you fro any input.

well it can be a little painful right after insertion, but that pain usually abates after a while. maybe a couple of minutes or so, depends on a person. you just have to wait it out. i don't know if you did that or had your partners pull out immediately? if it's the latter the next time you should try and wait it out. it gets really good after that :)

Is it safe and beneficial to buy a set of the small to large butt plugs to help stretch?

Yes, the butt plugs could probably help.

Also, make sure you take it real slow... maybe have him start with a finger, then two, and so on until you work up to him entering you. When he's in, make sure he doesn't force anything, and take as much as you can, wait a minute to get comfortable, and then if you can handle it, do more.

And, as always- too much lube still isn't enough. Use an entire bottle if you have to. It will get easier over time.

yeah you could try that. it might help. as long as you don't share them with anybody it's safe. just keep them clean, wash before and after use and it'll be fine. i think it's a good idea to get them in different sizes. you start from small and move on to bigger ones as you adjust.

I used butt plugs to get use to being a bottom. It worked great for me. I'm usually a top but do bottom sometimes.

I couldn't find the kit the sex store had a while back, so I bought "step 2". I have a small one that goes in super easy. This one I bought is seems a lot larger but we"ll see how it goes....

Some of the problem might be related to the fact that you have had some bad previous history of pain, bleeding, possible fissure, etc.

No matter how much you would want to block that out, the memories always flood back and your body squirms away, causing unnecessary muscle spasms...

Try to work on your memory of the things past, and adopt the view that loads of men experience similar situations. This should not stop you from enjoying your future.
