I love me some Satori. The plants are beautiful, hardy, fast growing and flowering and big yielders! I've always LST'd mine, and they respond super well. Then, theres the stone, Oh man, for me, its the perfect high. It did everything I need weed to do for me and why I use weed. Its definatly a one hit wonder, very creative high, slightly laid back, but at the same time energizing. I got Zero paranoia on it. It made sex even better ;] but, at the end of the day, if I needed to chill or go to sleep, it totally set my mind at ease for that too. I never had any couchlockyness or any of the negative effects I've gotten off other weeds. 100% A+++ strain, thank you Mandala.
Trainwreck is by far the strongest bud I have ever smoked! When I first got the bag I took one little hit from a hitter and was so high I forgot to finish the hitter for almost an hour! And I`m a steady bong smoker!
Sadly!>( Yer favorite strain this season will be morphed into something else next season by some well meaning grower out to create the ultimate... whatever):>\ I go out to find my favs at the dispensery and everytime there's some newly named clone, and some have disapeared completely. Sorry, I just wish for days when I could go out and find the strain to suit my mood again. Way ack when if ya wanted to laugh, or veg., or see god you just looked for the strain that helped, now there's new names and the experimentation starts all over every season:>|
That's wonderful Archane, but some of my favs are older that you are. I can femember buying three finger bags, back in the day, and saving some for future use, not unlike fine wines. Our stash might at anytime consist of 5-10 different strains. When folks stopped by we gauge the mood and pull out the bag that might suite it best. Alas, those days are gone, with new strains coming out every few weeks and the expense, one never knows what will be in the mix. I wonder what will happen if Cali legalizes mj this year...;>)
Just be happy you have options and dispensaries to get them from in your wonderful state! Not everyone is so damn lucky!
Sorry but there is no new strains that has been made in a long time. its just a bunch of crossed strains that's been out there for a while. its just about the pheno hunt . i think if you look hard enough in a pile of crossed seeds you can find a elite clone only from a certain pheno. a strain is like skunk#1. northern lights. haze, nevillehaze
Another factor I would of thought for strains vanishing is gene stagnation, no breeder would ever have the huge gene pool of the wild to breed true for countless years back breeding and re crossing helps.
I suppose... Right up to the point where cross breeding ends with only one strain, several years off maybe but with all those growers crossbreeding as fast as they can trying for the perfect strain... fortune and fame!>\
I'm no pro breeder but from what i've seen and read mj and quite a few plants do suffer from in breeding and stagnation problems. yep think ya rite there and very scary thought indeed . Breeding out or eradicating genes from an already depleted gene pool is bad news for any plant. Quick thought. A bit ott and out of the pocket of breeders seeking fame but yeah say we get down to one inbred strain what next gm? Mj modified with pig genes.
I don't fear natural selction or professional breeders. It's Joe Greenthumb tryin for 15 minutes of fame that worries me. And after every harvest goin to the dispensey and findin a whole new set of newly named clones! Then have a store clerk try to tell me which strain I need like they were a Dr...!>) Ok, rant over:>D
I think there's a limit to what pro breeders can reach without having the wild native strains as a safe guard. Its a fair rant though even the drug companies would be forced by law to do studies and testing on new products even if there just slightly modified from tried and tested drugs.
Only one things for sure on that score the price for the end user would go up along with there profits hmm thats 2 things lol. Would be interest to know for sure what the hash producing countries are growing surely there not relying on native strains and farmers do selective breeding or have introduced genes from the captive bred strains in favour of the higher yields.
Aurora Indica (Afghan X NL) and Misty. They finish fast, yield good, are very easy to grow indoors, and give a great buzz.
Indica from Brazil crossed with Jamacian Red Point. Easy to grow indoors or outdoors.Produces a Skunky type bud altho the Jamacian Red Point is a Sativa and the plants seem to be more sativa dominant ,so it has a great head high and a good yield, although it is a slower grower outside and I doubt that this hybrid will reamain stable enough to grow a mother plant of it for seeds,I think it will end up reverting back to it's genetic origins in one way or another.Anyway I don't have a name for this hybrid and doubt I will ,just call it Brazillian Indica crossed with Jamacian Red Point since thats what it is..
