looooooolz, i dunno, i seem to have noticed, that when ppl hit 40, they start calling themselfes old. im a great believer in you are as old as u feel, and that it has alot to do with ones mind. so if u keep telling yourself you are old, ull feel it.
About 2 years ago. My mom who is 30 years older than I had some health problems with thyroid and high blood pressure, I looked at her and for the very first time in my life I thought she looked old. It was a real shocker for me as she is so full of life and vibrant. My next thought was if she is aging, then so am I. Was a really strange head space at the time. Since then I have sworn to enter my second childhood.........so it will all be fine.
I'm 64 and although at times my body reminds me of my age, my mind tells me differently and I only feel about 20. My grandmother was 86 when she died but her mind stayed young. She was always open to new ideas, even if she didn't fully understand them. Hope I'll always be like her.
Quoting from the movie 'Middle Age Crazy': Forty. Ehh, forty ain't nothin'. Sixty. Now, sixty's the shits.
pretty much the same as you chemigals, when i started paying bills etc and worrying about money after the 5th day of the month. also the fact that i'm sat in on a saturday, not hung over, reading the newspaper and drinking endless cups of tea. i would make a great granny!
I'm almost 40 and I feel very young. Playing in a multi-generational rock band probably helps with that.
When my niece asked me how long I'd been a vegetarian, and I said 16 years. She is 16. Basically that made me feel old. But, then a special person found me and now I feel young again. No, the special person wasn't Jesus Christ.
This year I've turned old. I'm 25 and I've had a lot of bad luck this year. Lots of deaths in my family and illnesses. It aged me a lot- My skin, my eyes, even my hair. I look pretty sad and moan about having a sore back and hormone problems! Not cool
hmm What is old, a couple of days ago i was talking to some friends of my late father and I was saying my plan was to hit the road and they went well do it when your young when you have the chance both of these people were in their 60-70s Now my parents would never say that my mother certainly wouldnt have said that, I said to them well why dont you guys hit the road you could carry a rucksack, and they looked terrified of the prospect and I think people use their age to stop doing things but you need not have that attitude . Basically you get older some people do that at different rates aging isnt something to worry about, basically approach life like a viking faced with a sea of orcs and you have no worry's
When I realised that I was 3 years away from a free bus pass. Can't wait! Every time that I come back to Britain I am fucking shocked at the price of public transport. Here I can take a bus journey that last almost an hour for the equivalent of one pound and take the train to the city and back (1 hour journey) for about 4 pounds.
