Mixing antidepresents and weed?

Yours truly was prescribed Lexapro 10mg, and I was wondering if smoking weed would be bad to mix with it... I haven't smoked in a week, to lower my tolerance, and plan to tomorrow. So, would this be a bad idea?

yeah fuck anti depressants, tried taking them once to maybe help me through some tough times, and they just made me so fucking awkward anxious and more fucking depressed.

but weed is good

 

i was prescribed lexapro once. made me vomit. i got over depression on my own. i have my days, but thats normal. antidepressants suck. try eating better food, and find the joy in everyday love. one day you realize being depressed is a waste of time and energy. so use the meds until you achieve "normal" and then get weaned off them, because they are bad for you.

oh, and yeah you should be fine smoking while taking it.

 

I was on Lexapro and didn't notice any difference when smoking weed- it's definitely safe to do.

It actually helped a bit, no bad side effects for me, but I'm on Wellbutrin now which makes me feel 100% normal... antidepressants can be sketchy, but every once in a while they DO work

 

when i was younger i was really depressed and was on celexa. I crushed that up and smoked it on some weed and i was smiling really really hard. lol but i wouldnt do that anymore. I find St Johns Wort and a 1-2 mile jog at dawn makes my soul shine

 

I had really bad panic attacks while on lexapro, and Im a super chill never anxious guy. I dropped that and never went back. That doesnt mean you shouldnt use it, just be cautious. Although I never had an attack while high, it does happen to people. I'd advise being cautious with these meds in general.

Hopefully you have a better doctor than I did. His answer to all my problems were to up my dosage, and I tried to kill myself. SOOOO BEEEE CAREFUL!!!

I take mood stabilizers, and I seem to be fine, what you need to do is slow it down, you did good taking a break, take it slow when having other meds. and see how you do, Good luck

 

Alcohol is what you really gotta watch out for on stuff like lexapro

 

well i would avoid alcohol or limit use of it . I am on paraoxine and i find if i drink more than I should, it does play havoc with my moods .


weed you should be fine with

 

Some mood stabilizers will increase your high 2 fold.
