    It's fun! Try it. :)

I'm not referring to skipping rope but rather the walking/running type.

All of the google hits are about skipping rope.

I watched a physed video in school a while ago that showed all different types of running/jogging styles that can be done. One looked like marching band style. Another was skipping. Each one was good for working a different set of muscles.

Most people don't do these types of exercises. Maybe because they don't know about it or because it looks silly. :)

I use to do that all the time when I was younger and had energy to spare :)

Skipping is great fun. I still do it, much to the chagrin of my kids when they are with me. :)

i always thought it was called jumping rope.

i used to skip only when running downhill. not sure why, but it just felt natural to do so in that situation.

You jump rope and I will skip, how is that. :)

I can not jump rope worth a dog gone...seriously I think it is a brain thing, I trip on my own feet. I can't knit either for the same reason, can not get my hands going that way. Go figure. :)

Nope, I am older and I had it first!! ;) The company is good though!! :)

I can do yoga, did gymnastics all other sports but skip rope.........if you saw me even today you would laugh. My kids laugh at me! Little buggers.

My friend who knits beautiful things, did all my kids baby clothes, tried to teach me for over a year, she was ready to stab me with the needles. I can crochet as it is only one hand and sew fine.

I am a reject.....I think I am related to that penguin in happy feet. Maybe we are long lost relatives, you and I. ;)

You know, that is a real possibility. That's why I'm so short, its the penguin in me!
In elementary school, in gym class, we had these mandatory jump rope competitions where we were on teams. It was awful I couldn't do any more than two successfully. I could barely do those. I just can't seem to get the mechanics of it down.

I'd love to learn to crochet, I've just never taken the time... As for knitting-my step-grandmother tried to teach. Let's just say it ended much the same as it did with your friend. I'm just such a fumble fingers.

Well so far in this new club there are two of us getting dragged or should I say roped in. I wonder how many more are going to fess up!

I think shaggie knew about us all and felt pity..........or he also can not skip rope and just has to skip!!

    The plot thickens. :)

Try to crochet as it works for me. When I tried to knit I even did the one needle between my knees and worked it that way, I drove my friend batty.....is still a joke between us today. My daughter tried to knit and she can't either....too funny. But the brat can jump rope! ;)

I'm surely not great at skipping rope. If I try it I usually end up hogtied. :)

Just plain skipping down the yellowbrick road is fine. Or through Harlem. Or through whatever.

I love to skip, maybe that makes me weird but I do it randomly with my children and it is fun. I did a lot of it when I was an kid. It was fun and still is.
