http://www.windowfarms.org/ The Window Farms project presents a unique vertical hydroponic gardening system in which people from all over the world participate in through an online "R&D-I-Y" (Research & Do it Yourself) community. They share problems, solutions, and information on the hydroponic systems. This system is ideal for city apartments, areas with short growing seasons, and those with a general interest for gardening, the environment, nutrition, and DIY culture. Check out the this video to learn more about the project and how the system works. https://www.youtube.com/user/Windowfarms#p/a/u/0/PkCuPrsPn_I http://www.windowfarms.org/ http://www.windowfarms.org/ http://www.windowfarms.org/
Kinda cool. You'd need some big windows ... and that's a LOT of plastic ... which you gotta remember about Bisphenol A. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1711398,00.html
good insight! I think I am going to use three half gallon plastic orange juice containers and I don't believe the plastic air lift tubes will hurt anything, they do just fine in fish tanks and the plants don't seem to mind. as for the crowing cups i have a bunch of yogurt cups that i have been advised to use. Should have pictures up within the next week or two!
I've got all my parts other than the air pump which is in the mail =D I will be posting pictures and progress. Hope this thread catches on a bit more =/
